Ermmm so why aren't you complaining ?
Take photos of the gouges and email them to customer service with your complaint.
Can't believe your b/f towed him out after he'd wrecked your lawn though-I'd have left him there !! :)

  • what was he beeping his horn for?

I may have left him on the lawn, called local asda and asked them to come and remove him from my lawn and took photo and asked for them to pay for lawn specialist to repair!

I agree with others .. there is no way I would have gone out to help. I would have called the Asda store and told them to send someone out. Don;t make mountains out of molehills though (excuse the expression) .. boyfriend getting wet is irrelevant unless he is a big girls blouse that dissolves in the rain ... ruined breakfast was your choice ... your lawn can be fixed with a bit of topsoil and grass seed ... it may look less than beautiful for most of next year but it will recover.

I would expect Asda to pay however for someone to come out and fix your lawn .. plus a few vouchers as a gesture of goodwill should more than make up for a ruined breakfast and soggy boyfriend ;) Hopefully you kept a note of his registration .. did the van driver not offer any advice on what to do or an apology?

I agree with the others - there is no way me or my husband would have helped him out - I would have called Asda, told them to get him out and complained at the same time.

As an ASDA fan I am disappointed to learn of your experience. The driver was exceedingly lucky that your boyfriend was so accommodating with his towing help. He saved Asda several minutes (if not hours) of labour and service vehicle on-the-road time -and that does not include the pick-up rescue service the loacl manager would have had to send out.
If your have details of the van and store I would go there. Discuss with the customer services manager what happened, namely:
    the service rendered in helping,
    the distress suffered,
    the damage caused (show photos)
and seek help with putting your lawn in order - guess they will pay for the works and more - a Christmas bumper hamper should not be too stretching for ASDA.

  • As long as the shopping arrived on the scheduled time slot then i really cannot see what the problem is. I suppose you could ask Asda to refund your delivery charge?

Did you actually read the OP's post? she did say:
asda home delivery turned up got the wrong address

what has the delivery slot got to with it?

Here's a tip: don't just jump in with both feet before reading the posts properly, something which I have noticed you do quite regularly.

Anyway, even if the delivery was for the OP, the driver damaged her property through his idleness in not attempting to reverse his vehicle correctly. You "really cannot see what the problem is" ??

OP, I agree with Ivan; make a complaint but keep it simple and to the point. The driver was negligent and ASDA should pay to repair your lawn.
  • Can you post some pics on here so we can see?
