Is there any distinction between a dog or a cat or a hamster or a goldfish or a lizard or a rabbit or a parrot in your special considerations?

I'm just saying it would have been somewhat sensible to include a bit of wiggle room in the policy at the LL's discretion.  by locking it down they've made the whole thing more difficult for everyone.
Oh god can you imagine the complaints if we’d introduced a law that said it would cap deposits and then left some element of ‘LL’s discretion’ in it. Jeez the guardian comments page would be going nuts 😂

It would have been  be pretty straightforward to allow LLs to add a pet bond on top of of the deposit that is guaranteed by the deposit scheme. Bit no one thought of it. I suspect as pet ownership is increasing this will change eventually but God knows how long it will take.
