Didn’t have to pay extra for it, it’s something they all do to check it’s worth what you have offered for it.

Thanks. I actually just been told they carried out my Valuation yesterday and waiting for report now.

Not sure if it is a drive by or a proper on site one. They must have organised with the estate agent?

For everyone that’s had an offer or decline by hsbc , did they text or email you the outcome?

They send an email and a sms with the password to open the email.
  • I applied on 27 January via a broker - and they seem to be taking their time with my application. I suppose it's not a simple case - I operate through a limited company and have dividend income. Waiting for them to get back to me is nerve-racking.

I applied on 31st, just had alerts from credit report and hsbc have done 9 CHECKS!!!? Bit extensive then they deleted 8 of them?? Really odd. Have you had your valuation date yet mines not till 21st
  • No valuation date yet. My broker is going to talk to them on Monday for an update. I meet all of their affordability criteria - but still worried they'll reject my application.

9 checks! Wow - that's incredible. I suppose with the cost of living crisis they are being extra careful. I feel as if I'm buying at the peak, and house prices will go downhill from here for a couple of years. Hopefully a 5 year fix and 40% deposit will cover me.

You have a really good deposit, we’re going for 90%ltv (FTB). I feel the same everything is at the tip of being expensive at the moment and with gas / electric prices surging too! Living is getting extortionate!! I literally called the valuation company this morning to find out as I went direct to hsbc online without a MA. I’m so impatient

Did you all have a credit search done before or after a survey?

I was told my survey was on Thursday (not sure if desktop, in person or drive by) but apparently HSBC are waiting on the report.

But I don’t seem to have had a credit search yet.
