Hi
Currently pay £8 pm for a GiffGaff goodybag which gives 3gb data , u/l text and mins
Liking the look of the Lebara deal on mse £5 pm with discount £4.17 pm roughly half the price for same data , mins @ texts
Just never heard of Lebara , have done some research which shows mainly positive experiences
Would welcome feedback from any one using Lebara , did number swap work easily , any billing problem etc, before I pull the trigger
Many thanks

I switched to Lebara end of 2019 and it all went smoothly, old no. switched over fine. They don’t bill you as such it’s just a recurring payment charged to your card, you can cancel through the app if you don’t want it to auto renew following month. App is easy to use. I like Lebara, it runs on the Vodafone network but with much better customer service!1

Lebara use the Vodafone network so the first thing is to ensure the signal is good in your area. Their billing setup is slightly different but once you understand how it works it's OK. I didn't swap my number over so can't comment on that.
I tried them out and was quite impressed with them but the Vodafone network wasn't as good as the online maps predicted. To be sure of signal quality you can't beat getting hold of a sim and trying it out for yourself.2 -
Many thanks for the quick replies , vodafone map coverage says very good , don't know any one who has a vodafone sim so can't test out
Will give them a go0 -
The wife and I both swapped to Lebara last year and have had no problems.1

Will keep the giffgaff sim active until I can test the Vodaphone coverage
Hopefully all ok and then will swap wifes sim
saving approx £72 a year

Just to add my two penn'orth, I've been with Lebara for over a year now and have absolutely no complaints. Since I occasionally make calls to Germany, it's nice to have international calls included in my plan. The Vodafone network seems to be fine where I am.0

Many thanksTesco Mobile (who also run on O2 like giffgaff ) are offering 6GB data, 5000 mins and 5000 texts for £6 but with around £25 cashback via Topcashback/Quidco. This seems a better deal to me as you already use O2.0 -
I'm also thinking of moving to Lebaras £3.99 deal but I'm unsure if my phone is unlocked. On their site it looks like they take the first payment then send a sim, is that how it works? What happens if the phone is locked so I cannot use what I've paid for?

Once you insert free SIM it'll either let you know to top up / sign up or you'll get Invalid SIM flaggedIf you get signal then send for the Lebara one, they do take payment first & send SIM, that's how it works, pay up front every month, don't pay & you lose the service
