Hello. It is very quiet here without the dogs but I've decided not to have the radio on today and just try to enjoy the silence while DH is at work.
I have emptied the airer, put away the clothes and put the sofa covers on the airer to dry now. Recycling is out and I've taken meter readings and confirmed a date to have smart meters installed. Paperwork mountain wise I have sorted out our budget for this month, and indeed this next financial year, done most council updates, and tidied my in box.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Afternoon all - I'm here but not raring to go..lol. Still got the headache but it's manageable, just.
I actually had a straight 8hrs sleep last night, of which, according to my smart watch, 3hr 20mins was a deep sleep. That tallys with last night as I had an hour's worth during the night of three cats playing all over the bed, or sprawled across me before I had enough and yelled at them. Think they got the message as I never heard a peep out of them until I got up..lol
I've got some towels going around the machine so am hopeful they'll dry outside although my weather app says it's only getting to 11 deg's today with a cold real feel...🥺 Ok scrap that the grey clouds are bearing down on my garden now 🥺Trying a new SW recipe tonight so hoping it'll be ok.And I'm so chuffed as I got Slimmer of the Week this week in class on Tuesday. Also according to my scales I've lost nearly half a stone since I joined SW 3 weeks ago 🙂 But I still have aches and pains..lolCleaned all the fronts of the kitchen cupboards and put the shopping away while DH was walking the dog.

70 things listed on ebeast.. a few items which have watchers sent offers. I haven't even got to the cupboards yet. I wanted a multiple of 5 and I had a quick glance around my room and grabbed 7 more items so instead of 65 it was 70.. It is this easy! What doesn't sell is being bagged up am dumped at the CS at the end of May.Wrapped Jazzles birthday present so taking that shortly. Squeak wants to stay here so thats what she is doing.. DS2 and Boog are here and allegedly responsible adults though I'd wager she is more sensible than they are lol.Washing out on the line.. the stuff I washed yeesterday and the naughty rain arrived.. but it should dry it is gloriously breezy.
WM on with white stuff but I need to fill the black load.
Forms received for the no chance high school so I have scribbled a note and sent them back saying thank you but we are appealing the first choice high school and if we do not get a place we will be on the wait list until one comes up and will behome educating in the mean time. They don't need any more information. I figured it was short, polite and to the point.
The glands in my neck hurt, my hayfever is bad.. so I am likely coming down with a plague or attempting to fight one.

Hi all
Asb I feel a bit the same today, not really inclined to do much of anything, but I have made myself clean 2 bedroom windows, hoover upstairs and flick the duster around.
Been back to the opticians for my adjusted new glasses, which still dont feel right. Optician says to wear them and see how I get on but I am not convinced. Not sure if this is all in my mind now but either way I am really fed up with it.
DS1 has landed home, its his weekend off. He has brought washing and some food so I cooked him a brunch. He is now asleep on the sofa with the dog.
Really fed up with all the clutter on DHs chest of drawers. I thought about getting one of those little drawer units to sit on the top so he can put his bits and pieces in it. Then if I could persuade him not to leave all his clothes by the side of the bed our bedroom might actually look quite nice!9 -
half way round kitchen. Tidied undersink cupboard (was checking I have spray cleaner as in-use one nearly empty) and have removed shoe cleaning stuff into more appropriate container. Am just waiting for it to dry out. Foot locker Sneaker spray removed to give to DS as he brought it back from USA in 2010 (insert eek smily) and I won't use it. Checked I can open all polishes and flashy leather cleaners and plan to clean work shoes and vintage handbag with.
Submitted meter readings. Gas meter is exactly 100 higher than last month, which was strangely satisfying.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Natty well done with the weight loss, I got on the scales for the first time in a year this morning and it wasn't a pretty number. However Mr N and I did the 3rd of our 'home circuit' fitness plan today, and I did a zumba video yesterday.
Can't report a lot of flying today; checked and watered the greenhouse, harvested some kale, one load of washing done, walk round bird lake and 2 zooms - one with bil as it is his birthday and one with a friend. Agreed to meet the friend at the end of April in an RHS garden which Mr N pointed out is almost half way to my mum's so we may go to see her for a couple of days. Scrutinised the rules this morning and seems that as her only bubble is my brother, in theory she could change bubbles to us so long as db hasn't visited her for 10 days. Had a chat with him and he will make a point of visiting her at least 10 days before we go. She has her 2nd jab on Wed.
Did drum practice.
Yesterday seemed a lot of admin and one student, whose summary I wrote up and emailed; I've probably already said that!
Would like to say I plan to run before church tomorrow but as the clocks change I think that may be less likely....Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
Morning all. Did you remember to change your clocks?
A wet start to the day here, but it's supposed to be clearing up at about 11.00 - which is good, as I have to go and plant some stakes in the churchyard!
More good news from DH: he might be discharged soon - though from my point of view hopefully not until tomorrow, as I have deadlines to meet today. He is sitting out of bed and walking short distances unaided but still has some breathing difficulties. All in all, he has been very fortunate and once again we are very grateful to the NHS.
Flying-wise, since yesterday evening I have emptied the dishwasher, wiped round the kitchen worktops, decluttered cake that was languishing in the freezer, cleared some of the stuff off my desk, made my bed and S&S'd the bathroom.
Hope everyone has a good Sunday xx6 -
Happy 'Leap forward' day.
