Who do people talk to when they have problems, I can't talk to family or friends, feel really upset about the person I live with, it's constant problems, don't know how to get out of this situation, do I speak to a therapist, call samaritans, I don't know what to do

  • Perhaps speak with your GP and they can refer you to counselling? Or Google “self help” website and they may be able to give you advice x
  • If you can't share your problems with friends, how good as friends are they?
Ditto with family, are you not close enough to anyone to talk to them?
Are you looking for suggestions/ideas/problem solving, or just to share how you think and feel about your problems?
To get 'out of this situation', who you talk to depends on the problems within your situation.
But perhaps you need actions rather than words to get out of a situation?

What kind of problems and what is it specifically about your friends and family that makes you unable to talk to them? Can you talk to them about usual stuff but not about leaving your housemate?
Is there a reason you can't talk to your therapist about it too?
I think to help we need to know what it is you want to talk about. Is it about how you purchase a house, how you rent somewhere, money?

Perhaps Women's Aid would be the best contact.

Thanks @Mojisola... I totally misread the post and thought it was a houseshare..... (too early on a Sunday maybe...)
OP if you want to talk about leaving a partner then woman's aid is a great start. Are you financially tired or could you leave easily? Children? Are you renting?
Is it religious reasons you can't talk to family? Are friends joint friends?

Surely there must be one friend you can open up to?

I speak to a friend on a regular basis about his home situation as his wife has severe MH issues, is in complete denial about them, and he has no idea what to do or how to help her. She is quite vile to him at times and it causes his own anxiety issues to spiral out of control.

His wife hates him having a friend and has already threatened to divorce him and take their son away from him if he dares to tell me any of the crazy things she does.

If it is something along these lines, my friend found it really helpful chatting to someone from the charity Mind who offered him lots of advice.

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Sometimes, a vicar, Iman, or similar can lend a friendly ear and introduce the individual to local support services.

You don't have to be suicidal to speak to the Samaritans. If none of the suggestions made so far resonate, tru them. They will have details of other organisations appropriate in all sorts of situations.

Although women's aid does presuppose OP is a woman. They haven't actually said.
