I don't think home ownership is for you if you're this worried about it... or at least not at the moment.
You clearly cannot afford what you want, so keep saving, get a bigger deposit, then buy a HOME that you will be happy with. As you are so worried about various things I would suggest looking at a detached house.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)9 -
Thanks, yes, a detached hous is the one I want.pinkshoes said:I don't think home ownership is for you if you're this worried about it... or at least not at the moment.

Be patient and work your way up the housing ladder - for me it was rented flat share , semi (aged 27), semi, semi (got married), detached (aged 47)RobHT said:

Good luck lol.
I want a ferrari, a 4 bed detached, a big garden, and a sea view.
It ain't happening lol.
You're mistaking a "home" for an "investment". It's like wanting a Rolex for investment and affording a Casio and saying nah I'm only buying a Rolex as a Casio's crap despite only having £50 to spend.
Champagne lifestyle on a lemonade budget springs to mind.

You sound like a toddler throwing their toys out of a pram. Do what you want you’re obviously not happy to accept advice at this point in your life. Maybe do some emotional growth, invest in therapy etc.RobHT said:
I earn more than that, but I haven't such deposit yet, in any case, all this deposit for an house it's crazy for me, I also don't want to put all my savings/assets value on an house, it's like to invest only in one stock...hazyjo said:Okay, say you wait til you earn 60k. Should be able to get x 4.5 salary. Should have more than 50k deposit by then. You wouldn't be far short of 350k.
You can't expect to buy a house with your first property. I had to buy two flats to start with before I could afford to buy a house (with my first husband).
You can easily get a flat at that price. Even a roomy a bed in a decent area. For example: https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/85871107#/
Thanks for the advice, but I'm not planning to move around like crazy, spending money for the advisors, laywers, surveys, moving company etc, and then take the risk multiple times to end up in an apartment/house with tons of problems...
Thanks also for the link, I would never live in such place, sorry, and it doesn't suit my needs at all, I don't see a garage or any sort of private garden.
I'm not sure what is a roomy, but that's not the kind of apartment where I would live, not even the area, London is not for me, too messy and expensive, it's just an illusion for dreamers. (no offense for who lives there)DIP 09/02/21

The point is you dont have to do anything. I have a child so i have to have a secure roof over my head. If i couldnt afford the house id want to live in id buy what i can afford and rent that house out whilst renting the dream house. Obviously theres a cost involved though.2

I just asked about an house detached 2-3 beds with a garden (standard) and garage, pretty much easy to get in other countries... I would say standard for a family btw, but then my calculations were right, I'll be stuch in flats forever, gotta relocate somewhere else.hazyjo said:Good luck lol.

This plan is subjected almost to certain failure in my opinion, but it's always a planAngela_D_3 said:The point is you dont have to do anything. Thansk for the suggestion but I'm not gonna put at risk all my budget, on a property rented out by someone that will fall down into debts, national stats stop me from doing it.0 -
Seems other disagree. Am getting deja vu here. Are you the bod who comes back every now and then saying he's got 50k or so then starts abusing everyone when they say he can't afford what he wants where he wants it? 🤦🏼♀️RobHT said:

That wishlist is also impossible to get in some other countries so I don't see the relevance lol. Why say that? Are you provoking someone into saying buy there or go home then? Cos it's what trolls usually do on this forum, and I'd hate to tar you with the same brush...
