I’m quite worried now as the DWP said they sent the payment on the 15/03 and it should go into my account by Friday and my bank are saying they have received no payments at all. Is it possible with it being a large sum of money it can take longer?sammyjammy said:
Whether its manually calculated or automatic it will be via normal BACS procedures, as has been said 3-5 days unless they use Faster payment service in certain circumstances.Spoonie_Turtle said:
I don't know what the method is officially called, but I assume backpay is manual because it always has to be calculated for each individual claim; it's never automatic as the regular payments areNalasimba44 said:
Right ok, I’m glad I know what payment method they used as they couldn’t tell me. Will see if it is in by Monday. ThanksSpoonie_Turtle said:
I get payments on weekends with Barclays - but those are automatic ones. I don't know if a manual payment (which the backpay will be) would be any different.Nalasimba44 said:
Ah right ok ill do that, I bank with Barclays but not sure of their terms. I’ll just see if it goes in by Monday then call if it doesn’t. Thanks for all your help.poppy12345 said:Whether the funds are released tomorrow by your bank will depend on who you bank with. I bank with Natwest and they do not release funds or take any DD's on a Saturday. If it's not in by Monday then either put a note on your journal or ring them.
No one here can tell you why you haven't received the money into your bank. As has been said, it takes 3-5 working days once it's sent. If it's not in your bank by Monday morning all you can do is contact DWP/UC. The large amount has nothing to do with the time it takes to go into a bank once payment has been sent.

Sorry I’ve not asked anybody why I haven’t received the money I only asked if it can take longer with it being a large sum.poppy12345 said:Nalasimba44 said:

I can only assume that they didn't send payment when they said they did. All you can do is contact them Monday.

Did you also check they had the correct and most up to date banking details?0

Yeah I went through my bank details with them to make sure, they are putting it in the same account as my PIP. I think maybe it was done late on Monday 15th March and will go in this Monday with any luck.MarkN88 said:Did you also check they had the correct and most up to date banking details?0 -
With barclays a bacs payment shouldn't take any longer than 3 working days from when it was sent.

Sorry to post on an old post but just need clarification.
My LCWRA has been awarded from 13/02/2023 but I had submitted my first doctors note on June 10th 2022.
I am confused. Will my back payment be awarded from the June 10th 2022? Or not?0 -
