LCWRA Back payment question. Benefits.

My LCWRA was awarded to me from13/02/2023 and said payable amount will be paid sometime in either May or June of this year(2023).

However.. I first submitted my doctors note on June 10th 2022.

With regards to the back payment would I not be getting money from June 10th 2022?

I am just confused to why it would say it has been awarded from 10/02/2023 and not from June 10th 2022.

    That doesn't sound right.

If you reported your health condition through the right part of the journal on that date in June 2022 and have continuous fit notes covering that time until the decision date, the LCWRA element should be payable from your fourth full AP after reporting it - so from October/November 2022 depending on whether June 10th was the beginning of your claim or partway through an assessment period.

Are you able to tell us the exact wording or post a screenshot from the letter?

LCWRA backdating is something that they still frequently get wrong.
If you have been supplying UC with fitnotes for the whole period since June 10th 2022 then as said LCWRA should be backpaid to around October/November.
That actual date will depend of if this was a brand new UC claim, or if it was an existing claim.
If it was an existing claim then what dates of a month your AP runs is important, so also tell us those if it was an existing claim.
It can be corrected but if you give us the extra information we have asked for we can work out when it should be backdated to and what you need to tell them.

It is a shockingly common mistake by staff - its such a basic matter it's appallingly that it is still commonly put in place incorrectly.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

It seems to be a combination of confusing guidance and poor on-screen options when they are entering a new award onto the UC computer.
Once you get it past the Work Coaches (acting as Decision Makers) and up to a 'real' Decision Maker it's usually quickly corrected and backpaid properly.
