I presume they will force you to move to the Virgin app too?3 -
Well, my Yorkshire Bank account dates back to 1970, it will be weird saying my Virgin Money M Plus account is 50 years old.It is actually the one my pensions are paid into, so there was never any difficulty meeting the £1000 a month pay-in. I need £2000 sitting in the account at the month end, ready for SOs on the 1st, so there's going to be lots of money NOT earning interest. Either I go back to shuffling money just in time between savings account and payment account, or I leave £1000 in at all times, and let the mid-month pension payments stay where they arrive, earning nothing, until they are needed.Reading the T&Cs, there is nothing about re-trying SOs and DDs if there are insufficient funds, just about charging interest on an unarranged overdraft, or a £4 fee for declining the transaction. And then there's all that red, traditionally associated with danger, error, and overdrawn accounts.Eco Miser

I am afraid the name 'M' plus account just makes me think of Dame Judi Dench in the Bond films! Dame Judi is of course also from Yorkshire!

The email headed 'a brighter current account is on its way' and the subject box says 'brighter money is around the corner'.
The Virgin red is certainly brighter than the Yorkshire blue I suppose!0 -
