Mobile phone, Android suitable for impaired dexterity advice please
My Dad has Parkinsons shakes but he loves using family WhatsApp, News and Sports apps and taking photos. His current phone is very old with failing battery and minuscule storage but he is used to it (Samsung Ace Mini I think).
We're looking for a phone to replace his Samsung that doesn't mean he has to keep deleting stuff. Ideally the new phone will have good image stabilisation. His photos have become increasingly blurry and he types multiple repeats of the same letter much to his own frustration. He has borrowed an iPhone but hates it.
So the shopping list will be
Android (familiar with Samsung)
Storage 8gb or over
Decent camera anti shake
Decent battery
Refurbished or New we dont mind.
The ability to hide bloat, games etc. He doesn't get why his current phone capacity cant be improved by getting rid of build in apps he never uses but sometimes touches by mistake and then cant get out of. I disable as much as I possibly can.
many thanks

What is your budget? Are you looking to go sim free? Or tied to a contract? Is there a size preference?
Have you tried a newer Samsung - given he's mostly happy with the current one?0 -
I imagined SIM free, just a straight forward buy the phone. I think Dad has a continuing contract at the moment that I will review when the time comes. The phone will be a gift. Mom uses a SG6. He likes the size of his Mini but I think its part of the problem, the keyboard and icons are so small for him to touch carefully with his shake0

No budget in mind, Dad is worth everything to me.1

Start with the models that have anti shake camera .

Have a look at doro they make the buttons a bit bigger Motorola g8 range or g9 range the samaung a40 a41 or a42 also another is a Samsung a21s but if you want the anti shake oes or ios can't remember the name of it you might have to go for flagship phone you prob could go for a Samsung s9 or s10 maybe even the Samsung s20 also another good one would be maybe the Sony xperia 1 ii or the Sony xperia 5 ii with the Sonys there 21.9 aspect ratio so they will like be longer from bottom to top of phone1

Would a stylus help your Dad use his phone? (Or would he find it tricky to grip) I use a pen with a passive stylus end on my samsung in the winter when I'm wearing gloves - and it's very cheap.
Like these ones.

We have tried that and unfortunately his targeting of the app icon or letter he was aiming for was even worse than his finger. I think it would work if he was prepared to practice but he just gets frustrated with himself and gives up. Thanks for the suggestion though.0

Might want to also look up the moto g stylus and LG has one called stylo once lockdown is lifted maybe check those phones out in person also you can make the font bigger if need to or the samsung galaxy note range maybe a note 8 or note 91

Great suggestions, I hadn't thought of the Note type.0
