26th april - DIP
29th April full application put in
18th may - more documents requested
22 may - heard about valuation being booked
26th may - hopefully valuation. The broker told us that aldermore are running behind at the moment.
does anyone know if the valuation being booked is a good sign?
I am too afraid to even tell the kids about the house in case they refuse the mortgage!
Would they book a valuation if they were not generally happy with things? We have 6 children so moving us a massive undertaking i havent so much as sorted a draw yet - im too nervous about the mortgage! But i dont want to suddenly have to pack up we have 4 weeks notice to give to move so once we have keys thats it 4 weeks and we need to be out of our current house.0 -

We are still awaiting them to look though bank statements, I am not sure if we then go back to the back of the queue and have o wait another 10 days or not!0 -

We need to allow them 1-2 days for assessing”
so i dont know if that means they dont need anymore documents but they haven't looked at them yet or if they are happy with the contents of the documents !
i just feel like i need a yes or no answer now!I am too afraid to hand in notice on our flat until we know for certain and if it goes on another few days thats another months rent to roll into.I am still feeling like they will refuse buy when i mention to the mortgage broker just seems confused at my worry !0 -

Hi all,
We're currently waiting to hear back from Aldermore as well, so I've been reading all of these comments with interest! Here's where we are so far:
Aldermore DIP approved - 5 May
Aldermore application submitted - 19 May
additional information requested and submitted - 23 May
further information requested and submitted - 27 May
I'm not sure what happens next, as we're first-time buyers - possibly another request for information? We're in Scotland and so a Home Report has already been done, but as it was dated early February, it's possible a valuation will need to be done. We're hoping to move in late June or early July, is that realistic?0 -
