  • Hello, I have just come across this chain of messages in regards to Aldermore.
Please can someone advise/if they know of that Aldermore accepts fixed term contracts as employment? I am currently starting a new job and will obviously need to provide a lot of information to back this up, but was wondering if anyone has been in the same situation and it’s been accepted? We were approved for DIP yesterday and was given a direct debit form to sign?

Hi All, we have had our mortgage agreed this morning subject to the valuation being ok next Thursday.
Happy with how it’s going but very wary that it’s quite quick and easy at the moment.

    Application went in 13/09
sone technical error meant we had to resubmit
    Re Application went in 21/09
asked for additional  information all sent 21/09
    valuation booked in for 7/10
agreed mortgage subject to valuation 29/09

i haven’t noticed any hard searches on my report yet,but not sure when these appear!!

  • Hi!

We have applied for a mortgage with Aldermore but its seems to be difficult to get an update at all.

We have a DIP with them and the mortgage broker has submitted the full application. It went in on 29th April. We are looking to borrow twice our income and have a 10% deposit which the broker was happy about but we have a missed payment on a credit card from 2019 which is why we are trying Aldermore. The broker apparently spoke to Aldermore before putting in the application and she seemed positive about it.

We are first time buyers and we are so convinced they will say no we are afraid to even tell the kids we might be getting a house in case we have to disappoint them!

we asked for an update Monday and all the broker said was that they haven’t requested any more documents. But no mention of any progress.

The wait is killing us is it normal to just hear nothing for two weeks?

We have just applied with Aldermore. completely in the same boat with anxiety with the waiting! Was told it was currently a 10 working day turnaround on average for applications. We submitted 5 days ago, no requests for additional info yet.

Do you know if they have instructed a valuation for yours yet?

  • No i have no idea about a valuation at all!
We havent  heard anything at all!

  • We are in the same boat, we submitted on 5th May and have no update. There is some useful guides on their website around current wait times etc but we are at working day 9 and have heard nothing.
