Aldermore - Process

Yes another weekend not knowing if we need to pack for moving to our own house, or a temporary rental (get the mortgage but later than needed due to being out of here 16th July) or another long term rental (mortgage is a no). 4 days to look at a saving account statement that shows the deposit....unreal!! Maybe hear next week, maybe they'll ask for more documents on day 6 of the day 7 SLA like last time. Torture!

Oh gosh, what a nightmare! Fingers crossed it's good news on Monday! I believe Aldermore are open Saturdays so you may get something good on Monday morning!

No I wasn't even allowed in lol so couldn't check that was everything. She hasn't responded to my last 3 emails either. I don't think it will be an issue, I'm sure they will be able to.rent it back out quickly enough and we will be paying the full month's rent which covers us to 14th August! Just don't want to delay moving so if they say we can complete before our notice is up then we'll be doing so. What a palava.

Yeah, I get that, but you don't want to pay an extra months rent if you don't have to as well, I really hope you get an answer soon! It's such a stressful experience! x

Yep it really is. It's obviously taking a long time, I've had an email from my broker today to say that they can't get hold of my solicitor for an update either 😅 I just hope the vendor is OK waiting, we're so close now I think.

Yeah they have. Solicitor told broker searches are still outstanding but I was under the impression I had recieved them all. I don't know what's going on.  

I don't know how you're keeping your cool You've had such a bad luck with this I'm really hoping you hear something soon! x

Me too. I just want to know its gonna happen soon. Now I'm worrying that the solicitor will go back to Aldermore about our deposit not being equity - even though my equity payment covers it! They have been asking for documentation about the gift we were given in Dec, despite this not actually being included in our deposit and the only condition on our offer is that the solicitor confirm the deposit comes from the equity 😳 anxiety is a pain 🤣

Good luck to everyone for this week.
We are hoping to hear back about the document we submitted last week, the best news would be that we were getting our valuation booked but I am not feeling too confident, fingers crossed!! We have our house survey today and the contracts are here to sign for buying and selling but without the mortgage we can not get excited

Does anyone know if Aldermore ever do a desktop valuation or a drive-by or if they will always arrange to go out to the property?

I know ours was a survey where they went into the property as they took pictures etc x
