    • My GNE DD has dissapeared and the last DD (24th March) was returned by my bank. I've asked them why but assume it was that the DD mandate had been cancelled. The edf DD which was briefly there has now also dissapeared. My account still shows as in progress so still can't go in and (re) setup the DD to edf.  Also like others my GNE account now shows as non DD and have taken screenshots of meter readings and tarrif before the site closes, but I do have the pdf with the original GNE DD tarrif

Perhaps the following clause from my EDF welcome letter 12 April 2021 resolves this issue

You'll soon receive a closing statement from GNE - this is not a request for payment and you do not need to take any action. It will show a breakdown of your energy usage with GNE up to 31 January 2021 followed by your usage from 31 January, on your NEW EDF PRICES, up to the date we set your account up on our system.

Not too sure who is billing 1 February onwards but the tariff seems to be EDFs from this date
The worrying thing is that GNE now has me showing as non DD, so will the final bill be at higher rates than I was on?

RE EDF the DD cancellation letter says I only have 10 days to setup the DD, though I can't as my account isn't fully setup

"Direct Debit is the cheapest way to pay. So, because you’ve cancelled your Direct Debit, your prices will go up.  We've highlighted what your new prices will be below. You’ll be billed monthly and you’ll need to pay within 14 days. You can avoid this if you set up a new Direct Debit within 10 days of cancelling it. How to set up a new Direct Debit It’s really easy to do this online. Head to MyAccount edfenergy.com/directdebitsetup and follow the instructions. If you haven't registered yet you'll need your account number: xxxxxxxx"

    Summarising my current position

GNE tarrif kwh charges are the same for non DD and DD, but standing charge is up by approx 60%/15p a day for both

EDF non DD that they now show both kwh and standing charge have been increased for gas, weirdly theres a minor reduction in kwh for electricity but standing charge is increased - both by around 4p a day
