Just spoken to NWide about something else - asked them how their new ISA was going - they are inundated and at one point had to shut the phone line down.

When I look at comparison sites (moneyfacts, moneysupermarket - since yesterday) I cannot see this ISA listed anywhere. However, it still appears on Nationwide's website. Any idea why this might be?
It’s still listed at saversfriend.co.uk or at least it is at the moment!

Definitely still on sale.  Within the last hour, I have received a Nationwide email advertising it.

    Got the same email.
Such excitement over a 0.75% fixed rate for 18 months! Pre pandemic you could have got double that for instant access!
Its presumably not listed on the best buy tables as its restricted to existing customers as at 16 March - although given NW has 15 million customers that is still a large pool!

I have just had an interesting discussion with Nationwide over the last couple of days as I was concerned that they would attempt to transfer my virgin ISA before the fix finishes on the 24th April. Apparently the 'Serve the full notice period before the transaction can proceed' option does not take account of the end of the fix period unless it falls in the transfer period (which looks to be 15 days in the info I have). I was recommended to only apply 10 days before the fix ends, which pretty much loses the offer as I cant see this lasting another two weeks  :(
  • My Fixed ISA finishes on 22 April 2021 and have had nothing from Nationwide to suggest that they are going to try and call for it before then. In fact the * at the foot of their letter indicates to me that the 15 working days for transfer will commence at the end of the notice period.

Let's see where this goes then. I'll watch this thread.

I am not a member of Nationwide, so can I open a current account and then apply for the ISA or could I just apply for a simple savings account and become a member?
Also I looked at the website, no mention of the 18 month ISA or is this only seen after members log in?
Anyone opening an account just to get the ISA?
    No.

During the application process it asks you if you were with them on or before 16th march

I just managed to open a NW Instant Access account on 16th March and became a member, have now opened a new 18 month fixed ISA as couldn't transfer an existing ISA as term end not until June.
I suppose if it is still available in June, which I doubt very much, I could transfer my ISA then.

Has anyone actually had their account opened with a transfer from another provider completed yet?

well i opened it and transferred my existing nwide isa in. That is done. My existing isa now shows a zero balance. I am also going to fill out the online isa transfer form to transfer in 10k from virgin money - we will see if

    a. they accept it and

    b. if i get the £50
The way it was put to me over the phone is that it has to be done as a single transaction if you want money from multiple sources. So,  I first transferred some cash to my Nationwide current account, then applied for the ISA and opened it with a transfer in from Virgin plus cash from my NW current account all on the same form.  What he also said though was that, as long as I did not exceed my allowance, I could have more than one new NW member ISA.  So, I could have done two transactions to two different new ISAs:  1 from Cash (unused allowance) and 1 from other provider's old money ISA.
