How long did it take to receive the £50 bonus email once the account has been opened?0

Yes indeed - you can apply for more than one cash ISA and have them opened up but the moment you put money into one then that becomes 'the cash ISA' for that tax year and you cannot put money into the others.fleemkt said:kuratowski said:@fleemkt - You haven't paid any new money into the Nationwide ISA in 2021-22. Only new money is a subscription, transfers don't count as subscriptions. Thus it is strictly correct that "I have not subscribed... to another cash ISA in the same tax year I subscribe to this ISA" so you have not violated the ISA declaration.Good point and makes sense. So I assume it's possible to apply for several ISAs for the same tax year with different providers, but as long as I don't 'subscribe' or pay any of that particular years' allowance in, then it's fine. If I do, the allowance has to stay in one pot / with one provider.
However, providers often ask that you open their ISA with at least £1, thus limiting in practice the ability to open others1 -

Around 11 weeks for me. Nationwide stated that cashback would be paid on or before the 30th of June.fleemkt said:How long did it take to receive the £50 bonus email once the account has been opened? Thanks, but what I meant was once they've completed the transfer-in and funds are shown in your online account, how long did it take for them to email confirmation of your £50 bonus eligibility?0 -
it was about 3 weeks for me, but i got in before they were overwhelmed.0

I received the bonus confirmation email about 6 weeks after the funded ISA appeared in my online banking account (so around 7 weeks after I applied).fleemkt said:Thanks, but what I meant was once they've completed the transfer-in and funds are shown in your online account, how long did it take for them to email confirmation of your £50 bonus eligibility?0 -

Still waiting for any sign of the money let alone the £50. Really unimpressed. At least I've had responses to my numerous communications, acknowledging some of the points I've made and now saying my new ISA will be open within 15 days from yesterday. We'll see!

Your not alone, 3 months from application, and the ISA transfer hasn't even started and neither have I received the £50.

Well jumping up and down and generally being quite cross has at least achieved the transfer at last. However a letter I received just afterwards throws into doubt the veracity of things their CS staff have been saying all along.Santander however have been hugely helpful and claim quite categorically they have not said or done any of the things Nationwide claim they have and given an unending and changing story from Nationwide, I know whose version of events rings true.A very very poor show from Nationwide. Not the delays, I now understand what caused that, but the apparent lies and 'miscommunications' are not ok.0

I applied late March, handing forms in to our local branch. Chased via phone and told each time application was in the queue to be processed. Raised a complaint in May after still hearing nothing. Complaint deadline extended twice by NW. Quite a cordial/positive conversation when a complaints representative did eventually get in contact. Then, received written response to the complaint to say they couldn't trace any application, apologised that the savings team misadvised regarding processing, but essentially they didn't accept that I had in fact submitted any application! So, I'm a liar (for what benefit I can't fathom)! Not even the slightest chance that they may be at fault at all, even with the very apparent mess they've made of the whole thing for so many...?! Needless to say, I was NOT happy!
Considering how to escalate to the ombudsman (I have proof of location at/near the branch on the day of application), not because I want the product necessarily, but just because I'm so angry at how they've handled it!0
