Movies are being cut to £9.99 a month, kids added to entertainment with no price increase to the entertainment package but will cost more if you only had kids without entertainment.
Streams cut from 2 to 1, ads introduced to movies/box sets unless you pay £5 a month for boost which will still allow 3 streams and will not have extra ads

Oh wow. For me adverts during programmes would likely stop me wanting Now TV.

I get that live TV on Sky has always had them, but to charge roughly the same as Netflix but for a lower quality stream with adverts it just isn't worth it.
I get maybe Netflix's pricing isn't sustainable long term either, but it sure makes Now look poor value.

No way would I pay another £5 to get the second stream we'd need, wouldn't want ads either.

That's me ruling out Now TV permanently.

If you've noticed a few ads starting to appear when you watch NOW, you might be seeing adverts that we've started to introduce in some on-demand shows and movies you can watch with a Cinema or Entertainment Membership.
We're doing this gradually, so for a while, only some members will see ads on certain devices – but we'll be rolling them out to other devices over the coming months.
If you upgrade to Boost, you won't see ads when you watch on-demand shows and movies. You'll still see promotional trailers to help you find shows and movies you'll love, as well as ads on live channels.

Just had an E-mail from Now TV
"We've applied a discount to your account  - Good news, we’ve given you another offer
As a thank you for being a valued NOW Member, we’re giving you a new Entertainment Membership offer for the next 6 months. That means you can continue watching award-winning shows for only £6.99 a month (usually £9.99 a month) until your offer ends."
As I have just made the last payment on my £5 a month offer, I don't think I will be staying for an extra £1.99 a month, no FOX channel, half the number of streams and extra ads.
Went through the cancellation process and they didn't try offering better although I didn't choose the "cannot afford it option" I went with the loss of FOX, cut in streams and adding ads

I've been on £1.99 a month for Entertainment for the last year (two lots of six months, the second was automatically applied).  Last week I cancelled as there was nothing worth watching, the only offer while I cancelled was £5 a month for six months which I turned down.  The following day I realised the latest series of The Rookie was on, so I signed back up at £9.99 a month and ready to cancel when I've watched it all.

A few days after that I received an email saying they have automatically applied a discount and for the next six months it will be £3.99 a month.  If I find anything else to watch I'll probably keep it running.
  • Even with an expensive sky q subscription when watching on sky go there are Ads.
Sky are taking the pee for £54 a month for movies entertainment and Netflix.
I think the better value now is Disney plus, Netflix 4 screens and prime video all for under £30 a month with no ads and 4 k and 4 screens.
