    1. Can you leave sky and sign straight up for Now! ? Since sky now own that company.
    2. Once your 6 month deal with Now! is up, are you likely to be offered a decent deal?
As far as I know NOW (in the UK) have always been part of SKY.
I have never signed up for a six month deal  - I currently have sports at £19.99 a month, (to August), Cinema at £2.99 a month till December and Boost at £2 a month (August), all cancel anytime

    Found my answer, it’s no.
when I try to sign up for Now Broadband, it’s registration page is a divert to sky. As soon as I put my details in, it’s kicked me out, clearly recognising that I am a current Sky broadband customer.
might be ok on TV, but not broadband,

I signed up for the six month deal with NOWTV at £4.99.  I received an email offering me a deal now charged at £6.99 a month (normally £9.99).

We hardly ever watch NOWTV having watched all the award winning series and I found their latest offerings disappointing, aside from the fact that it will now be an additional £2, so cancelled my subscription.  I actually counted and I had "Are you sure" question 6 times!

So I get an email confirmation on Tuesday that it is cancelled.

"Just to let you know, your Entertainment Membership has now been cancelled. We’re sorry to see you go.

You can carry on enjoying your membership until Sunday, 17 November 2024."

    Yesterday I received an email

"Your current offer is coming to an end but don’t worry, we’ve got good news for you! We’ve given you a new Entertainment offer for an extra 6 months – which means you can keep streaming brilliant TV shows for just £6.99 a month (usually £9.99 a month).

You don’t have to do anything – we’ve already applied this discount to your account. And you can still cancel your membership any time in My Account. "

Well, I have already cancelled my subscription and received confirmation.  But now they are saying they will continue to charge me.  What the ......

So now I have to cancel again???  If I don't no doubt it will take weeks to get a refund.

Anyone else had this?  Surely this is sharp practice?

Just logged in to cancel again however it does state

    Entertainment Membership

    Cancelled
You can keep watching until 17 Nov 2024

So, I suppose I have to wait now and see if I get charged.

Depends on the timing of the cancellation, sometimes the "automatic" offers that were set to go out anyway still do.  (I've never been charged after cancelling but also never signed up for six month deal)

I've had multiple accounts, subscriptions and cancellations with Now TV for at least 10 years - never once been charged in these circumstances, in my experience they are pretty good - cancelled means cancelled
  • Great - thank you for responses.

  • Can anyone tell me what the best available deal is for the Sports Channel. My £17.99 subscription comes to an end next month and looking for best opportunity to renew at the right price.
