Standing water in bath tub near drain!?

Hi, I renovated my bathroom and put a nice German Bette steel bath in, apparently one of the high quality makes.
I noticed about 30cm of standing water not draining completely right next to the drain hole. I was annoyed but thought it would just evaporate and be ok.
But now it's making a brown dirty ring around the outside of this standing water which I'm struggling to remove. Just after a few months. I imagine something will get it off. But I've read that standing water can lead to damage and rust.
Is there anything I can do? The bath is perfectly level! So it should drain. I'm pretty dissapointed
Any advice?

I had a similar issue - my bathroom is on the ground floor and I have separate bath and shower and there is a lot of gurgling going on as they drain. The bathroom was not part of the original house and there is very little fall in the drainage pipes which are laid on the concrete fall. It does drain slowly but it does drain and there is no water then in the bath or shower.
I had to get the good old rubber plunger out to solve the problem - hair and soap comboNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1 -

I just out the level on the edge again and it's perfectly level! So frustrating0 -
Where is the plug hole situated, I've noticed quite a few of the Bette baths have a drain in the centre or a third of the way in. Maybe it's just bad design, you probably need to get yourself a squeegee. I have this in the bathroom which I use every time I have a shower or bath..

Is the plughole slightly raised, possibly due to a thick washer between the metal part of the plughole and the body of the bath? Anything standing proud of the base of the bath will mean water is being trapped. If not, all I can suggest is have a supply of paper towel or a sponge available and mop up the excess.Have you contacted the supplier or manufacturer for advice?1

I wonder if it would be worth taking off all the silicon, attempting to drop the drain end of the bath a few mm to get more of a fall on it.
But it would be a big hassle and also might not work considering the tiles and the bath panel0 -
If the bath is level, then I guess it must be a slight variation in the casting/pressing.Just have a cloth handy after each bath - surely not worth pursuing it in any other way? But, yes, annoying.(Take a photo and email Bette a message - see what they say.)1
