I think I may need to change went off wifi for a while yesterday,

Once we are out of lockdown there will be more time off wifi.

Checking the balance and it is going down a lot faster than I like, or used to, 17p has gone and only use was a bit of data data looks like around 3MB mostly chrome

Did notice they still have the day 50p 120MB top up option which I found very handy when on walk about away from regular wifi

    options ?  ( I have  spare data reward )

O2 classic,  not as good for extra data and as long as the regular top up not required as reported then probably closest
    Sky 100MB plan(£42 3years with phone)   £6 1GB extra and piggy banks.
data reward for 200MB/m  but they don't have the 50p day top up cheapest is a 30 day £10 2GB

Dual sim so can mix, but messes up things attached to number like whatsapp
Land line hardly used these days so could drop that completely, its with VM
    Still thinking this one through.
It might be worth going through application settings, cutting off background data, change email and other message synch interval or make it manual only, use very stripped down browser settings for some of the time e.g. images off

I don't think dual SIM is an issue for WhatsApp. It's independent once set up. The number I use on there and give for incoming calls is on a SIM in a separate phone.

On that Sky plan, you seem to mention the data rolls over if unused. Have I understood this right, and if you add a bundle does that also roll over or it runs out in a month?
Most of my data use is me rather than background.

I messed up WhatsApp trying to get video on pc with emulator
With my phone I can run 2 copies of whatsapp one on each number.

With sky as far as I can tell the bundle piggy banks and does not have a 30day limit.
Can also have multiple Sims sharing the data.

£42 for 3years calls and text  and 100MB a month is pretty good.

The Lebara is now 4month 1/2 price but £5pm  soon after so adds up handy if you can use the international mins and need more data.

Useful info, I was following the other thread too but this is sort of the condensed version :)
I'm a 'spasmodic' user, needed to ring a lot of plumbers last week plus friend going into hospital, end tax yr etc so had to top up 2nd time this month. Usually it's once every 3mts.
I'm reluctant to move for 4 weeks while waiting for my vaccination text. Just in case anything goes wrong because getting hold of them isn't possible - but I don't like having to pay so much and as I can go say 3mts hardly using it then lots of calls/texts for a week to two.
Thanks folks, some useful ideas there. Just a little cautious with some that prices may go up after the hassle of moving.
My Broadband has been taken over by a company I'm not keen on too so that's upcoming :/ Hate all this stuff.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

viral kindness .....kindness is contageous pass it on

The only normal people you know are the ones you don’t know very well

If you're worried about when you change to another provider, they'll increase their prices, then maybe Asda's new 4-4-4 PAYG might be worth considering. They've only just gone over to those prices a few days ago, so won't likely be changing them for a bit of time.

Porting shouldn't be a problem, but I can understand why you're hesitant.

Thank you everyone! I have decided on the 1p mobile network as I just don't use it enough to justify much else really! And 1p is cheaper than 123 for me.

Be aware. though, that you'll have to pay in £10 credit every four months to keep your account going. If you spend more than £30 a year with your current usage, then you're good, otherwise their 1p ends up being more expensive.

Thank you. I'm usually at about £10 every 2 months so should be ok.

That's £5 per month and the Lebara MSE blagged offer will get you unlimited calls, texts, 3GB data and 100 international call minutes for that (every 30 days).
No brainer if that's how much you spend.

Once hitting £5 a month then 1month  contract is the way to go.
    Labara is proving popular
    https://mobile.lebara.com/gb/en/search/?text=exclusive
    1GB £4 (300 mins)
    3GB £5
    5GB £6
    10GB £7

if low(no) on data then Sky mobile is £42 for 3 years unlimited calls and text which works out cheaper
£6 to add a GB that I think is not time limited. and there is 100MB a month that rolls over for 3 years

A link to this exceedingly cheap offer wouldn't go amiss?
I can't find it on $ky's site but I haven't paid $ky a penny for very many years and mayhap it's a $ub$criber only deal?
