It's really lovely as it is! Maybe just stage it for the photos, put some planters and nice garden furniture out, lay the table etc so potential buyers can imagine themselves spending quality time enjoying the outdoors there in summer - this has become a really big item on most people's lists in the last year due to Covid and spending more time at home.
    Good luck!

  • Its beautiful! If you're planning on selling the house then just keep as it is.

Its a gardeners dream as its a blank canvas. Its also a non-gardeners dream as its simple and easy to maintain.

We have friends who grow horseradish in a bucket. The roots spread, but the bucket keeps it contained. The bucket is buried, by the way.

Horseradish is quite a small plant. Could you do the same with bamboo, although you would need a larger container?
In theory, yes, but only with the clumping kind of bamboo.  The spreading bamboo in my garden has pushed through anti-weed membranes, a paved concrete path, concrete tiles and a tarmac pathway (I'm still wondering if the council will spot that as it's their pathway, and if so, whether I'm going to get hit for it because it's nearest my garden, or my neighbour because it was his damn bamboo plant).  Basically, if you were to put it in a pot, the pressure of the roots on the sides of the pot will either crack it (if pottery) or split it (if plastic) in not much time, and then it escapes.

As others have said it’s lovely.
I’d do the fence; if it’s yours replace it, maybe with some lovely fancy panels 😁 or if not paint it to tidy it up and make it look better
If you’re going to be selling there’s no point doing anything else; it’s perfect as it is; just stage it with some nice garden furniture when it’s time to sell 👍

As others have said, dress the garden with planters, pots and maybe a simple table and chairs. Doesn’t need to be expensive. Sell the possibilities to potential buyers. Take some photos throughout the year which could be added to the particulars when you sell. That way if you sell in March the photos will show what it can look like rather than a wet, damp, colourless garden.
