@Coupon-mad I read that this was OK on PePiPoo a few months ago. I'm not sure though whether it is subject to local conditions perhaps? Just a random Google brought this up from Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, where I guess they are pretty strict on enforcement.Coupon-mad said:Umkomaas, where there are kerb blips you can't pick up and drop off (unless outside of loading restriction time, where there are single yellow kerb blips).
Basically, treat DYL with kerb blips like a red route = no stopping.
But ordinary DYL = OK to stop and OK to undertake exempt activity like loading, unloading, picking up or dropping off passengers, and Blue Badge parking for 3 hours by displaying the clock as well (mandatory on DYL).Loading and unloading restrictions
Loading restrictions are shown by yellow 'blip' kerb markings. You can check enforcement hours on a nearby white time plate sign.
When loading restrictions are in force you must not stop except to allow passengers to get into or out of your vehicle.

EDIT TO ADD
Maybe the above is in relation to single blips? 🤷
Happy to learn! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I can be bothered, but my understanding from the responses that were being given was that I'd have no better than a 50/50 chance. If I'm sent a speculative invoice, then obviously no, I would not pay it. I decided not to pursue this as the advice seemed to be that because I did spend 10 minutes in the car park, it would be considered as having parked, unless I understood those responses above incorrectly. Had I not read that, I would have sent the pre-written text. Okay?KeithP said:Well if you can't be bothered to spend ten minutes sending an already written for you appeal, then there is no hope.
If I were to send you a speculative invoice, would you pay me - just because it is the easy way out?0 -
Hmmm it looks like you are right. I stand corrected.
I recall stopping at DYL with kerb blips to pick my daughter up from some shops and two CEOs descended upon me and I had to move on even though I told them I was picking up a child (as she was then). Ever since, I've avoided kerb blip roads but happily use DYL for the intended stopping purposes.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I am like coupon mad , avoiding kerb blips like the plague , regardless of circumstances , having had a BB since they were orange !! I look for single yellows or bays of any sort first , then double yellow with no blips last , avoiding private or council car parks wherever possible. Council parking bays on public roads can be useful , but the signage is confusing to me since the coin parking meters have gone !! This pay by app with location is something I will never understand
When I went to London a few years ago , I couldn't understand some of the disabled bays due to being multi purpose , never having seen them up north. But eventually we were lucky to find a standard disabled bay and use that.3 -

What exactly do you think you have been sent?
It is a speculative invoice. Nothing more.2 -

The 50/50 chance is with regards to PoPLA, a non independent, unregulated, paid for by unregulated scammers outfit who last year had assessors and senior assessors who could not count to 14, nor understand the PoFA 2012.
The PoPLA decision is not binding on the motorist and can be ignored.
If a court claim is raised it will be in the future, and a court claim will be months away.
If you want to pay a bunch of unregulated scammers, then go and do it. Just be aware that the regulars here give their advice and time for free, and you will be wasting all of that if you decide to pay. That is time none of us will ever get back.
If you pay, which is your right, then I will have wasted my time here, so I am going to bow out of this thread now.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.
