Do you know where this cat park is / who owns the car park that they think the vehicle was? From the Plain Language Commission:

Frankly , I think you should stay and participate
Once all the errors and blind alleys were overcome it's an interesting case , as was my brother's case , something different where we could both search for the truth and assist in protecting you in the future , especially if there was a police reference to back it up in court
It was also interesting feedback regarding contacting the DVLA to have a note placed against the VRM details about a possible clone registration plate
PNC was the correct acronym or initialism , Police National Computer
Too often we get cannon fodder on here , stuff that need not appear because a little reading and research would find the answers , but yours piqued the interest of myself and others , I cannot see any replies that are of concern , just fact finding etc. You did a good job in assisting us with pictures and details , you accepted our findings regarding the truth and you called the police
So I think you should stick around , we want you to win , not lose !! 👍👍👍6 -

I really do not think that the how and the why are important, if the car was not there it was not there. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.1

Has this actually been closed out? Has the PLC dropped or removed the charge?0

I have come back to update this thread at the request of Umkomaas. I hadn't seen the comments beneath my last comment because, like I said in the comment , I had no intention of doing so.
But I am grateful for the help received on this forum and I can see how difficult a job some of you have when trying to help people who don't seem capable of answering questions and sticking to facts. Must be frustrating.
I agree that no one in this thread said anything particularly 'bad' to me, I just have a low threshold for time wasters and I felt some of the responses I received were indeed wasting my time.
However, my desire to show gratitude to those who helped me, far outweighs my feelings towards those who nit picked and annoyed me, so I am here to update the post as requested.
UPDATE: there is nothing to update about this. We simply did not hear anything about it again. We know there is still time for that to change, and if it does I will pop back and let you know.

Thank you @Daffodil78 for update. Hopefully this has quietly slipped away, but do come back if anything further develops. Unfortunately they have 6 years from the date of the incident to issue court proceedings. If you move address during that period, you must - to avoid any court claim going to the former address without your knowledge - inform the PPC of the new address. Keeps you safe from a default CCJ, with its credit-wrecking potential. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thank you Umkomaas. I hope I do not have to come back, but it is reassuring to know that I can. Thanks again for the help.3

Clear breach of GDPR. If they chase later, I would bring a simple money claim under Art82. Hopefully you won’t hear anything further though.3
