That's the thing ! They shouldn't be giving so many updates in such a short time . I have 14.1 at the moment , and if I stay with this phone it will be more or less be deemed useless ..unless you don't want 15 etc .coffeehound said:My SE battery is at 91% health after 4+ years so fingers crossed it'll go another year - though along with iphone 6s, won't get iOS 15 apparently :-/I did post about battery usage previously on here a while back, but it seems best to bite the bullet and go for a new one ..but only after the latest Apple press conference . Probably Easter time or sept 😾1 -
My phone gets fully charged at 82% ( currently on 79%)
When it crashes, it normally happens when battery is around 22% approx . Once it starts charging again it doesn't seem to take too long to get it to 82% ..

My wife has an SE and the 'battery health' says exactly the same...91%...spooky!

Even though my wife’s SE says 91% health it still indicates a fully charged state of 100%;..notwithstanding the 91% gubbins the battery still seems as good as it ever was.another_casualty said:My phone gets fully charged at 82% ( currently on 79%)

Lithium ion batteries start to degrade very slowly from the moment they’re manufactured, even if they’re sat unused on a warehouse shelf.
Charging/discharging hastens a batteries demise somewhat but it’s still a slow decline and loss of performance. However, the gradual decline eventually reaches a cliff-edge, after which the battery performance plummets rapidly and charging becomes pretty futile.
Sounds like your battery is on the edge of the precipice.

My iPhone 5 used to crash at about 18%. As it was getting to the stage where the iOS was too old and my preferred apps stopped working, I bit the bullet.another_casualty said:My phone gets fully charged at 82% ( currently on 79%)

I was dithering about a second hand 8, but for future proofing for a bit longer I went with the new SE instead.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Yes, totally agree their product cycle is too short. Something like 16 months would be better. Hope your batt keeps going a few more months!another_casualty said:

I got a charger pad off Amazon, not an apple one. The charger it came with works fine, I just find it easier to plonk the phone on the pad than keep plugging and unplugging it.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
