Good luck. Our workloads are pretty much sorted now as far as I know - pending recruitment though which may mess things up a little. No reduction in hours overall for us, but we've had one staff member leave, me drop a day, and someone else drop 2 days, and none of that is being replaced, so... 🙄
Sounds familiar!

Indeed. They're expecting lower recruitment as well, meaning one less seminar group for everything - but even if that doesn't happen I suspect the excess will be filled with fairies on hourly paid contracts, rather than a permanent member of staff.4

What annoys me is that we have almost no autonomy on recruitment activities, but we're held accountable if they don't work.

I seem to be on a role with Populus - three in a week - all politics related - today's was fun, "On a scale of 1-10 how much do you 'like' these politicians?" - Pritti Patel, Dominic Raab, Matt Hancok, Boris Johnson, Michael Gove, Theresa May, Rishi Sunak . . . Hmm fair few zeros there thenNow only 10 more points (£s) until cash out - I started doing it with the intention it would be for mortgage OPs, but I think it will go to the ISA - mortgage neutral rather than free.2014 starting mortgage £165,0002015 second charge £20,000 - Jan 2021 paid off in fullCurrent outstanding balance - £115,8564

Argh! The smart meter issue is becoming a debacle! At the beginning of June, they sent a reader who confirmed the meter hadn't been registered, and I got a proper reading that said I was £300 in credit, but it then registered another estimated reading at the end of June. On Friday, I got a bill with two further estimated readings, removing the early June reading and telling me I am £105 in debt to them. They appear to have reverted to billing me for the old meter2014 starting mortgage £165,0002015 second charge £20,000 - Jan 2021 paid off in fullCurrent outstanding balance - £115,8564

I know how you feel. It's so frustrating. Nearly at the end of a three year battle with the water company about a meter. that was installed badly. I've had one refund of £800 odd and expecting another similar amount this week. I hope you get it sorted soon.Without overpayments: 15 years, 1 monthsBecause of overpayments: 10 years, 10 months left until paid off6

I'm ignoring the meter for now, DH and I are treating this week as our summer holiday. Monday was dinner at the Ivy (Mr Chigle's choice, I wasn't overwhelmed). Today is London and Michael Sheen at the National then dinner on the South Bank; tomorrow, visiting family in the Midlands; Sunday new pup; Monday, South Pacific in Chichester, Tuesday, hide the credit card2014 starting mortgage £165,0002015 second charge £20,000 - Jan 2021 paid off in fullCurrent outstanding balance - £115,8569

It was well worth the trip, @Karmacat, the South Bank is oddly subdued without tourists, but the theatre was magnificant.I think we will have spent more this week than most months since the first lock down2014 starting mortgage £165,0002015 second charge £20,000 - Jan 2021 paid off in fullCurrent outstanding balance - £115,8565
