Many thanks for your kind words, I am so pleased I have been able to provide some inspiration
I'm far from debt free but I have finally got to the point where the debt feels manageable and I have some funds for actually living.

Hiya LMD,
I think your two designer specs for £44 is an absolute bargain! I had a prolific account and it lapsed unfortunately and now I'm on some waiting list that doesn't seem to be moving anywhere lol. It's good to see how much you're able to cash out. I'm plodding along with Swagbucks and accruing pennies at a time with Weare8.
I would've cracked on the sealed pot too, so don't worry 😂😂. I'm a bit triggered as I'm paying my Barclaycard as a minimum payment, so seeing a balance that isn't a rounded number is irritating me 🤦🏾♀️.Debt Free Diary:- The Mental Debt Struggle

Thanks @keedie, I thought it was a good deal too! Good morning all, and happy Monday
Ever mindful of the expenses I have at the end of the month, today is my 3rd NSD for July and I have sent just £1 to CC7 as my PAD this morning. I don't actually think I need to spend anything this week so I should get a good run of spend free days under my belt.
All the finances are looking OK, there's plenty in my sealed pot, this is intended for Christmas spends and my Black Friday weekend away, but we have also booked a holiday for January so I will keep some back to use as spending money if I can. I have just realised my family holiday is only 47 days away and I also need spending money for that! Maybe my EF will have to take a back seat for a while, at least we have the house one to fall back on.
I have already completed another Prolific survey this morning so I am hopeful some more will drop in for completion throughout the course of the day. I am actually quite enjoying the variety of studies there are, rather than the same structured Pinecone ones.
We are both still full of cold, coughing and sneezing but LFTs are still negative so we will carry on regardless, there seems to be a lot about at the moment but we still feel pretty pants.
Feel like I have rambled on enough for now!

Well, I have officially switched our energy to the variable rate which will kick in at the end of this month. A bit of a depressing way to start the evening to be honest but, needs must. Hubby and I came to an agreement that I would continue to pay the Eon bill and he will be paying for our holiday, it saves messing around and I'm OK with that.
We may need to re-look at the figures soon anyway as he is going to try and get a bit of a promotion at work. Time will tell, but if he does then it will put us closer to the same salary and we will need to revisit the household budgeting and expenditure.
I am feeling very tired today, clearly the cold we have isn't allowing us to get good quality sleep. I think I will have a pamper evening and try to relax this evening before having an early night.
Have a lovely evening folks

Sorry that you're both feeling unwell, but wishing you both a speedy recovery. Everyone's getting sick these days, so just hang in there.
The spending money for these trips really do creep up on you don't they? It's good that you've got such a healthy sealed pot to look forward to. My penny challenge just completely stalled and I've been holding onto any spare change so not been able to really pot anything.
Are you tied into a contract for a period of time with the variable rate or simply because you're now out of contract and will wait to see if anything better comes along? I don't even know what mine is, how sad is that? All I know is that when Avro Energy went bust I got moved to Octopus and the rate I've got is cheaper than the only rate that they have available for a switch, so I'm just sitting tight but it's not cheap.
Fingers crossed for your husband's promotion too.Debt Free Diary:- The Mental Debt Struggle

Thanks Keedie, it's moving onto their standard variable but predicted to be £110 a month more than we are paying now (although it'll go up again in October - crazy times). There are no exit fees so we aren't tied in, but looking around it's not worth us going onto a fixed rate at the moment.
I'm sure I can scrape some spending money together, we are all inclusive for the one in August but will be venturing out for a few meals in local restaurants to avoid the repetitiveness of buffet dining.
Thanks for the positivity for the promotion, I certainly hope he can secure it and it's a company he wants to stay at so I think it would do him good.

Ooh, I've just cashed out another £6.80 from Prolific so that will be another £5 to CC7 and £1.80 to the sealed pot... Just need it to come through to paypal now over the next few days.
