I like to visit The Good Old Days for gin of the day for €4. Their food is very good too. Also Cafe La Ola for the evening entertainment. One of our favourite restaurants is Asia Delicious. We were there at the end of April/early May this year. I could quite happily live there, it's such a fantastic place!LittleMissDetermined said:
We were last there in October and I honestly love it, I would like to buy somewhere in Matagorda as a retirement plan. We will be staying in Los Pocillos but will be visiting PDC - our favourite restaurant is the Asian Sunshine restaurantSun_Addict said:We go to Lanzarote every year, often twice a year. We stay in Puerto del Carmen now but for many years we stayed in Playa Blanca. It's my home from home place, absolutely love it.
We usually have a day at Playa Blanca but it's a bit too far out for us.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1 -
Good morning all! I've been up since early this morning and it's lovely to have hubby back

PAD's counted and I've made mine £1 to CC7/. Today is not going to be a NSD but I am happy with my achievements in June and will hopefully hit target in July too.
I have been doing some surveys on Prolific but a lot need you to complete on the laptop so this morning's job is to log in from a laptop so I can do this too. I do love a good survey earning session
I was chatting to my sister at the weekend about Audible, we are both subscribers and she mentioned that she was going to cancel hers as she already had a lot of books on there. Well, I have a lot of credits but I didn't think you could access your purchases after you've cancelled. Turns out you can if you have downloaded them! So I have spent my credits on books I want to listen to and downloaded all my library. This saves me £8 a month
I have also cancelled my hair appointments for the foreseeable future as I travel almost an hour to get there, and then it's £55 (plus tip) and then an hour back and when I take into consideration fuel costs it just seems excessive. I have a friend who says she will do my roots for me for the cost of a takeout and girls night so that seems like a good deal to me! I'm sure I can get it trimmed locally for not much money.
That's about it from me, I hope everyone has a great day!
LMD x
PS @Sun_Addict we also like Cafe La Ola, but for their cocktails

I think you're onto a winner there LMD, I've been looking at your spreadsheet and thinking of how to adapt it as my income is so bitty. It's just my PIP and my employed wages that are consistent, but everything else is variable. But having a set amount each week makes all the difference, and I think having spending money will help with my budget.LittleMissDetermined said:
I use my tracker to track the days and then it calculates the amount I have available after commitments per day. I appreciate that won't work for everyone if you have different income coming in throughout the month. But maybe you can do yours based on how many days to the next 'income'?Keedie said:I need to keep a better track on how many days there are between paydays. I've seen that some people have annual budgets and whilst I'm absolutely no where near that organised, I think I do need to think of what my spending money would work out to be on a weekly basis, so that I can set that aside when I get paid.
Well done on your Audible saving, I've got Kindle Unlimited and I can't imagine ever cancelling it. But I guess it's different as I have to return the books when I finish as they're on loan like a library so I can't keep the downloads permanently. Sounds like you've got a great deal going with your friend regarding your hair and that's a great saving each time!Debt Free Diary:- The Mental Debt Struggle

Happy Friday everyone. It had been forecast to rain all day but it's changed now and I'm much happier! It's already getting warm and it's nice and sunny

Today is 1st so PAD's counted and monthly total declared; £7572! Amazing efforts given the cost of living. It's DD day for me so lots came out and the accounts are very much depleted... only a few more bills left to pay though so that's a bonus. Today is not a NSD for me as we are off out tonight for a meal with some friends. Looking forward to it as we haven't seen them for a long time.
Managed to do a fair few Prolific surveys yesterday and I have my first cash out on it's way. I've decided that I will split the pay outs £5's to CC7 and anything above to the next £5 will go to the sealed pot. Had my first lot of interest the Monzo car and sealed pot accounts this morning, £1.45 altogether. Not a lot, but it's there!
Seems like a positive post from me this morning, I'm sure something will come left field and knock me off my game!

There's no sign up button on their website, it's hard to get into it as they don't often advertise but occasionally there will be an advert on a website to sign up through. Sometimes on Pick my postcode.bigbeff said:I find prolific goes in waves, sometimes I have loads to do, other times nothing!
