A holiday is so much more enjoyable when you’ve got all the costs covered. That’s another reward of your changed mindset to what was a £42k debt. Your hard work is really paying off now. Nearly at the four and a half mark and ever nearer the last 10 per cent :)

  • Thanks everyone, I am even more determined to kick this last bit in the backside now and get rid once and for all!

I made £6 PAD to CC7 this morning and today will be a NSD for me. It's busy today already and I have what feels like a million emails to get through. Fortunately only 1 meeting this afternoon so I should be able to get back on top of the inbox fairly quickly today.  I had real trouble sleeping last night and started to get irritated with myself, knowing I needed to be up early. No idea what time I finally drifted off to sleep but I feel shattered today.

We will be sorting out the joint account later when hubby is back from work, other than that, not much happening from a money perspective - which is definitely a good thing!!

    Have a good Monday peeps

Thanks! I’m clearly counting down the days haha! We usually alternate between Lanzarote and Fuerteventura… although hubby has been scoping out Malta for October which is somewhere we have never been before. I’ve told him he can’t book yet, we have only been back 2 bloody days 😂😂

I am a souvenir of Malta 😉 My parents lived there until my mum was 6 months pregnant then they returned to the UK. I’ve never been outside the womb though 😆
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Ha ha, I’m sure I’ll be doing the same when I get back! Never been to Malta but it looks lovely

Lol @Sun_Addict - a souvenir of Malta. That made me chuckle

This is brilliant, I was possibly a 'souvenir of Skeggy' :D
From the pictures he was showing me it looked lovely, but I would rather concentrate on blitzing this last bit of debt than booking another holiday, despite the current weather making me want to!

  • Today's update sees £5 sent to CC7 and it's not a NSD as we are off out tonight for a few hours. Will be low spend though so that's not bad.

My final predicted payment to the car is now £628 (down from £950) so we are still on track for moving that DFD forwards a month once it hits £500.  Surveys weren't too bad yesterday and I have £12 waiting for approval. Will be checking it throughout the day too and will hopefully be able to do some more.  Back to normal at work now with meetings and calls so it will be a busy and tiring day.

My cold from before my holiday seems to have returned with a vengeance... This supports my opinion that I was built for warmer climates and I need to relocate somewhere sunny :D  Today I will be mainly bundled up in jumpers with the (expensive) heating on :(  I'm sure the dog won't mind lol.

That's about it from me today, I hope you all have a great Tuesday!
