  • Thanks @Aimingforthegoodlife

Today will not be a NSD for me as I need to go to the office. Heading off after this update so will try and catch up on subscribed diaries later...

PAD was £1 to CC7 and it's still nice to see the total coming down, even if a little slower than of previous weeks!

Hope you all have a great day

  • Hi all

I was hoping that the statement for CC7 would have been generated today but I have checked and no joy. I assume it will be Monday now before I can make my regular payment (and colour another square on my chart)... I saw that the interest rates have jumped again and whilst we have a fixed rate mortgage, and my card is on 0% I am starting to get concerned about the knock on effects of the cost of living and what that may mean to my target debt free date.  Even hubby is showing some level of concern now, and he's usually oblivious!

Yesterday was a very full-on day at work, socialising these days is exhausting :D and I was glad to log into work this morning from the sanctuary my home office brings me.

On to the finances, PAD my made of £1 to CC7 this morning and today will be a NSD. These will be on and off over the next few days as we have plans every other day which will include some level of spending.

Hope you all have a great Friday!

  • Just caught up with your progress and you are certainly making so much headway! 🎉
I feel you regarding the concern over the cost of living. Certainly scary times indeed. I have had to re-evaluate my overpayments as I now barely have any funds left after paying for everything :( When does your fixed rate run out? I keep checking to see if I could have gotten a better deal instead of locking in a month ago but it looks as though the rates are steadily getting higher so I am glad to have my 5 year fixed even if its at 3.56% instead of my glorious 1.79% now :(

  • Hi @Squirrelz92, our fixed rate runs for another 4 years so I’m not too worried about that right now. I can imagine it’s going to start to slow the housing market if it carries on like this for people getting mortgage deals.

I'm on variable tracker but have done a lot of overpaying when rates were rock bottom and to get used to paying higher repayments. I think it's very sensible to put your debt free date back LMD. I've never set a debt free date as such, but know worst case I can clear the last of mine by Jan/Feb 24 at the latest.
I think your fix of 3.56% will soon look a pretty good move @Squirrelz92

  • Morning! Quick one today as it’s a very busy weekend for me and I’ve already been non-stop since 7am.

CC7 statement has been generated so £100 payment sent there (£32 over minimum) and today is NOT a NSD. Very spendy day ahead, a night out for my sisters birthday with drinks and a 3 course meal. I am looking forward to it :)

I hope you all have a great day

  • Morning! Another busy day with family for me so a quick stop in to say last night was great, but very spendy.

I’ve sent £1 to CC7 this morning as my PAD and today should be a NSD, but will declare later just in case.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the sunshine

  • I'm staying with family until tomorrow evening so I will be only posting short updates as I will be busy. I've made my PAD this morning of £1 to CC7 and yesterday turned out to be a NSD after all.  Not today though, we will see what tomorrow brings :)

Hope everyone is keeping well and enjoying the spell of good weather

  • Hi all

Back at home now but today has been super-busy so I've not been able to update, sorry about that.  I made my PAD this morning of my usual £1 to CC7 and I've just been able to cash £6 out of Prolific so I've sent that over too.

Today is a NSD, yesterday was too so that's good.  Not sure about tomorrow as I need some things for holiday and I don't know if I have enough Boots points for everything I need... we will see.

Not really much else to update on, the weekend was exceptionally spendy, so my account is now in recovery and I'm trying to pinch the pennies!
