Currently waiting for lockdown to end so I can get a Report done as I was told this was a common fault. Samsung were quite clear about their 12 month warranty. Looking forward to the argument with Argos when I finally get the report. Surprised this has not become a new recall, luckily Argos have found a record of my purchase.Recalls on electrical items are only ever done when there is a safety issue. The fact you have a TV with a "common fault" is not a safety issue. It might be an inconvenience, yes, but it's not dangerous. In every electronic item ever made in every field going, there are always "common faults". Tumble dryers from Hotpoint, Indesit, Creda, Proline or Swan made between certain dates were recalled due to the risk of fire. Likewise some Hotpoint and Indesit washing machines were recalled also due to risk of fire because of an issue with the door close mechanism. If you shuftie through https://www.electricalsafetyfirst.org.uk/product-recalls/ you will see that almost all of the recalls are for risk of fire or electrical shock, not because they've packed up after a short period of time.0
