I'm about to send in this defence and will spend time on the next defence for my son which I'm pretty sure will be arriving in the post afterwards....I will keep everyone informed right to the end.   Parking laws need to be clearer and I am now on a crusade!  Letters to MP's first everyone, let's bombard them.

Hi Keith, I'm having a problem figuring out how to email in my defence - the second post in the NEWBIES thread says
Send your defence to the CCBCAQ email address given by KeithP in all the other recent claim/defence threads -
    - my question is do I just email this address and attach my pdf or do I log into MCOL?  thanks for your help.

I did write earlier on this thread:

To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service instructions.

     You would've then read:

Perhaps you should now delete those two posts you placed on the wrong thread.

Issue date is 12 February, I am the defendant...

With a Claim Issue Date of 12th February, you have until Wednesday 3rd March to file an Acknowledgment of Service, but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.
To file an AoS, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.

Having filed an AoS, you have until 4pm on Wednesday 17th March 2021 to file your Defence.
That's over three weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service instructions.
Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.
Oh God Keith I'm so sorry, I see it now.....

    Thanks,
Did you not give the court the days on which you were unavailable in your DQ?

Have you informed the court that you won't be able to attend?  If you don't, not only are you likely to lose the case (we see so few successful cases in similar circumstances), you could cop for a much larger sum than the current claim amount, to cover the Claimant's full costs, on the basis of 'unreasonable behaviour' in not attending or not notifying the court at least 7 days prior to the hearing.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You MUST attend court.  No-one else can appear in your place. Didn't you ask for a remote hearing by phone instead, as you are away?

Did you submit to the local court & the solicitor for OPS, a signed witness statement and evidence in August, as required?

Defence was not your only job. We hope you did the WS bundle in time.

See thread by @aphex007 for what it looks like.  Did you do that?

Email the court manager tomorrow first thing, and ask if you can either join this hearing remotely (by phone or video from abroad) or please could your email be placed before the Judge to note your reason for absence, not impose any sanctions due to this notice that you cannot attend, and to hear the case in your absence.

If you do not attend, you are almost certain to lose.  DO NOT do that except as a last resort. And certainly don't let it proceed without your WS & evidence bundle AND your notice of non-attendance.

All copied to the solicitors and nothing to the CCBC in Northampton, of course.

Since the OP has not been around since March LAST year and that post was concerning how they were about to miss the deadline for filing a DEFENCE, I doubt that a WS has been submitted  - shame looks like a loss!
