Bank account blocked

Hi, I was unable to find the original category for this post.

I am struggling to find an answer and the bank wont give me any answers either. My bank account that I have had for one year is under review and with the fraud team, it is blocked and I can only get money out by going into a branch. I do the odd selling online but most of this is done with paypal. Any problems I will speak to the buyer and help where I can! 
My mum sent me £15 on Monday morning, my nan then sent me £700 to buy my new car ( this payment never entered my bank account) 14 hours later my bank account was blocked. I am unsure if this is the reason which fills me with dread.
If someone has bought something off me surely they would message me first via ebay or facebook marketplace to advise they havent received an item or a refund. I have had none of this and have refunded buyers where I have needed too.

I rarely give out my bank details and if I do I would ensure a transaction is completed and wouldnt take someones money.
I just find it odd a day after my nan tried to send me a payment (which was rejected my security) it was blocked.
The bank say I have to wait 10 days for a decision. I am worried. I can't eat and all I want to do is sleep and forget about the situation & yes you can still be worried when you are unsure what you have done wrong!

This is extremely unlikely to be anything to do with ebay or paypal, they don't have the ability to lock down your bank account.  You need to go back to your bank and be firm that they need to provide with you a reason they suspect something dodgy is happening.

Thank you for your response.
I have tried that this morning, they wont tell me anything. It is badly affecting my mental health which I stated to them. They said they'd just put an extra care marker on my record?? I have severe anxiety so every situation possible has spiralled through my head. 
I am just at a loss.

I dont think so no. Paypal have there dispute centre etc so anything would of gone through there.
Im wondering if maybe someone has filled a chargeback against me? either way I would of thought they would block my account instantly if there was 'suspected fraud'
The account was fine until my nan tried to send me money, security rejected it and then I no longer had access to my bank account.
They did however send me a new card which I found weird as I can't use it anyway!!

Can we be clear, paypal do not have the ability to block your bank account, it does NOT work like that. If someone has raised a dispute on ebay, then it will show there, if they have gone direct to paypal then it will show there, they cannot bypass that and go straight to your bank. Therefore there is going to be another reason that they have flagged up, it might even be that your nan has flagged a warning as being 'vulnerable' and paying money into another account, nowadays they need all sorts of security to make payments and if everything is not handled correctly they may well block a payment due to investigating whether the payment is being made willingly, or whether it is being paid to a fraudster. 

I do think that as this has nothing to do with ebay or paypal (unless you have omitted to tell us anything) it really might be best to move this to the bank account board, but I won't do that without permission from the OP.

Incidentally, I have a bit of a worry that telling them you have metal health issues might have slowed the process a bit as they now have a duty to care to you as well (and rightly so) and may need to take further steps to ensure they don't rush anything and cause you any harm.
