Afternoon Folks
Annoyance job this morning was to clean my bedroom window of cat snot and head prints. DH always leans on the glass when looking outside to see if cat want to come in.
carried on and cleaned wardrobe mirrors, all other mirrors and bathroom window. This lead to me cleaning the living room window too.
did a zoom workout at 7am so hope my mojo is back to stay.
Bed changed and laundry wip
when the bedding is finished drying I may walk the 2.4 km to dancegran’s and see what to do next there.
We still haven’t decided whether to move house there or somewhere else or stay here but a declutter won’t hurt as I moved here in summer 2000.Bird feeders refilled and water dishes replenished
back later xx10 -
Thanks Kaz, I've set myself two boxes to be packed each day, but if I do more it's more it's an added bonus. I'm also moving the boxes out to the storage place where we've got a unit we've hired (it's a shipping container..lol) And we also have a hippo bag outside that is being filled up. 😁
I will admit I'm struggling though..Im actually contemplating throwing the carpe of full plastic boxes that have been stored up against the living room wall for 2 years now. I dont think I've looked in them at all 🥺Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

In work today so no housework done. I did most of the bathroom yesterday as well so will do a quick clean of worktops and cupboards doors in the kitchen when I get home while making dinner and that'll be it from me today. I may do a HHI if I feel like it later on but will probably leave it until tomorrow.11

Thanks Narco. Well done on the office progress. I'm being very careful not to create a mess as I declutter this time around, so it's only me (and my Flylady Friends) who know anything about what I've achieved so far. However, it's going so well I'm more than happy with it simply because this time I'm able to be so ruthless. Bonus: Belovéd is now doing his photos - it's not a competition but we're about even on what we've both ditched.Today I am tackling both Australia albums which were beautiful but are now excessive and will be pruned down to absolutely no more than 160, because that is the size of album I already have that is already empty and I intend them to fit as the adhesive is giving out in the big, posh albums. Can't complain, they're nearly 40 years old. Very, very fortunately they're one set I'd actually labelled all of them on the back. Who was Kerry? If I can't remember her, nice photograph though it is of Eric and his car as well, her photo can defo go. There are plenty others of that car and that particularly lovely Squeeze.I'm also sorting out a Space a Day at the moment and was beginning to fret because I haven't been sorting out a physical space every day this week. Then I realised my email Inbox is a space, as is my handbag and the cabinet over the bathroom sink. *relief*Natty. Moving. I have a lifetime of experience and always loved it, although not having very many of my possessions move with me took some of the gloss off all my childhood moves. The last one at 17 was the toughest but that's for lots of reasons, none of which will apply to you. What got me through each and every one of them was the excitement of the new beginning where ever it was we were going, no matter whether it was within the UK, or abroad. I love the endless possibilities that the move would bring, and they always, always, always did when I was young, hence my love of travel for the next 25 years. It really doesn't matter if you take 2000 boxes with you as long as they are ALL LABELLED. That is critical. If you can't face sorting and disposing now because you've lost that bit of your mojo, just slap it all in boxes, label them, seal them and forget about them. When you get to the other end unbox the stuff you need and NOTHING more. You'll soon find that when you're ready to get around to unboxing the rest you won't want most of the stuff in them and you'll be able to let most it go without a second thought. Very painless. Kazwookie's absolutely right - if you can get rid of anything before it goes in a box that's the best solution, but mine has always worked for me when I haven't, for any reason, been able to weed, fling, prune and generally get rid of stuff prior to the move.(((Hugs))) Dancemum. I'm glad you're feeling better today. There's very little chance of dusting happening today because I simply don't have the inclination. I'm a very, very lucky person that doesn't have to do actual cleaning once the house is at the current standard. It won't last long without me getting stuck back into it, but this week is apparently all about flinging.Better is good enough.12

Kitchen cleaned. I've also replaced the flytrap sticker in the window. Floor is drying, I have doors open - loving this mild weather.
I have cleaned the strip from the bottom of the shower screen, cleaned the shower screen and glugged stuff over the bath and loo. In 5 minutes I will go back in and clean. Towels to go in WM tonight as tomorrow promises to be a good drying day but I have now been called into work; someone is off sick.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

164 photgraphs chucked, and 120 put into a previously emptied album in the appropriate order. It was an amazing year and I'm so glad I've pruned the photographs to a manageable amount that sum it up really well. Two large unstuck albums put on the tip pile with the knackered shredder. 17 bits of paper decluttered, and a reminder put in the diary for Belovéd to renegotiate our Virgin monthly bill in mid-April. Shredding and refiling done. And I've sorted three small spaces.I'm absolutely loving getting to grips with this stuff and it's such a relief to be finally dealing with the mountain of STUFF that I've accumulated over the past 50 years. I'll never be a minimalist but I want to have clear surfaces and space in drawers, on shelves and in albums and not be surrounded by muddles everywhere. Doing it this way, a nibble at it every day, seems to work far, far better for me than trying to deal with too much all in one go.Better is good enough.11

To be honest, Honey Bear, I think the only way to deal with things like that is little and often, and you do need to be in the right mindset too, because you need to do it mindfully.
I've cleaned the kitchen and bathroom, so towels are in the WM to run overnight. I've posted the knitting I have done for my great neice and checked that Am'z0n have delivered my sister's birthday gifts...oh the lies. My last delivery here was logged as 'handed to resident' - no it was put over the side gate. And one of my sister's gifts has been 'handed to receptionist'. But delivered to her home!
Last years diary separated from board cover and big bag of shredding to go out in the morning.
Need to put recycling bins out, top up phone and prep for work. I'd forgotten I am at work on Monday, too ...
Oh - and the heating is off! (deliberately)

Evening ladies
Busy day as usual. After work I collected the children, prepped and made dinner, cleaned up, made packed lunches, put the kids to bed and I have just set a WM load going which I will hang out in the morning.
Please can I have bucket loads of FL vibes in the morning? Will explain why tomorrow afternoon hopefully!
Re paperwork and photos - I am utterly ruthless but that comes from having to deal with my dad’s estate when he passed away aged just 44 and I was 22; and in more recent times both grandparents. The mental load of sifting through boxes and boxes of paperwork, photos and stuff was awful. I have one file which has all paperwork in, with my will at the top, and one large plastic box of photos for the children. That’s it. May seem a harsh and crude way of doing it but it works for me. Also, keeping on top of paperwork sorting means I always have paper to go at the bottom of the wood burner 😊
Sleep well all xx

Hi all
Sending you an elephant sized block of FL vibes ASB hope whatever needs to be done goes well x
So, up at 6.30am, kettlebells class done, off to docs for blood test, whizzed around Li@l, home to put shopping away, throw curry in SC and start online training for work. During breaks I hung out washing, made beds, tidied around and managed to wolf down some food. Paid stuff finished at 8.30pm, kitchen floor hoovered and mopped, washing finished off in tumbler and DW on.
Have made DS his packed lunch for tomorrow, bedtime soon. More training tomorrow.
Ooh and who likes nice stationery? Bought DSs GF a lovely set of notebooks and some nice pens for her birthday, they are a thing of beauty. Need to wrap them up tomorrow.11 -
