I have lots. They are easily reglued but I have some I've never used yet that live at the back of the drawer, they were bought from Woolworths. But thank you for your kind offer, much appreciated.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Shopping done - we now have enough food for the next 10 days but it was a cheaper shop than usual (planning to use up bits of meat and fish from the freezer).
Before I went out I asked DH (who was still lounging in bed) to sort his washing and also strip his bed and start the WM with just the duvet cover and pillowcases on 30 degrees ( i.e. the shorter, 75 minute programme). Discovered when I got back that he had stuffed his double fitted sheet into the machine as well, so it couldn't swish properly, set it to wash on the long 30 degree programme which takes at least 2 hours, and had forgotten to remove the case from his knee pillow. However, I swapped the WM to the shorter programme, which ended just as I finished putting all the shopping away. Rosie lay in the sun and supervised as I hung out the bedding. Don't think I shall hang out all of the two loads of clothes, though - it's still very cold out there, and the radiators will make a better job of drying the thick pullovers.
I made a batch of yogurt for the coming week, S&S'd the kitchen, started the DW, remembered to get tea (some of last week's casserole) and lunch (ditto lentil soup) out of the freezer, and checked my finances - it's pay day
(((Hugs))), spoons, and sticks for the BD all round, as needed xx11 -
Hello all. Hugs etc where needed.
I have had a busy morning. Up, dressed, donut for breakfast, walked dogs, went to optician, stopped at farm for veg and preserves on way back, donut for snack, sorted monthly finances and ordered DH an anniversary present. Next I need to put washing on airer, do some council work and sort out a birthday card. I may need to make one.Spend less now, work less later.11 -
Good afternoon! Lovely day here too.
Operation patio clean is underway. I have cleared the pots by the house and will spray the patio in a while. The animals are enjoying the outside, so I am in no rush. My next job will be emptying some compost from Lottie the Hottie. I will then transport that & cuttings/dead bits, etc to my allotment compost bins, and cut the raspberries down while I am there.
Flying wise indoors, I have WULTD, stacked the DW & wiped down the surfaces and hob.
I think I will have some lunch before heading back outside.
Have a good day everyone 🙂11 -
Up, showered, Bed stripped and pillows redressed.. can't do the sheets as the mattress protector is in the machine. Showered, girls fed, cats fed, me fed, cuppa slurped, DW on, emails sorted.. the swimming instructor has agreed to fill out the questionnaire regarding Dots assessment.. she is a nightmare there and he has threatened to not let her go any more a few times. She is so distracted and unfocused and the prescription goggles helped a bit but the sensory overload just fries her head.. hopefully he will be honest about her difficulties. Paid 1 bill... 20 million to go! lolTodays jobs..catch up on washing and get the bedding out on the line.I need to fill out Dots form and get that sent back.I want to fill a wheelie bin.. I can't fill both as it won't be emptied until the 9th but I need some rooooooom.Order school cardigans, OH's mother kindly sent us the money to get them some bits they need so that is extremely helpful.
Fayolle.. I cherish mine daily even if I do moan about them a lot! it is something no parent should ever have to face. I have a friend going through treatment with her 16 year old non-verbal autistic son for leukaemia and it is horrific just having to watch and offer nothing but an ear and virtual hugs.. Mine have had a lot of extra hugs.. I can't even say no if I am in the middle of things and they ask for a hug.. Twinkle comes and says 'Can I sit on your two knees?' ... how can I say no? You are in my thoughts and I have candles burning, I just wish there was more any of us could do. just know we are here, always.. the WAC cover night shift once I go to bed! xxx

No indoor flying here, although I do feel that I am missing a trick with the glorious drying weather. Compost bin emptied. 5 bags of compost which will do nicely thank you. Other bin closed up to do its thing, and empty bin moved to its new home and back in use to collect all the peelings etc. Bacon butties had for lunch, as since DD decided to go veggie, the bacon was lingering. DH didn’t complain.
I’m going back to tinker in the gh for a bit, not in the mood for the allotment and I have to get DD from work in a couple of hours anyway.
ETA - Piggers - just, thank you x10 -
Hi all
About to go into a meeting for my voluntary job so thought I would pop my head around the Flylady door first. 4 mile walk done, 2nd load of washing in, kitchen floor hoovered and washed properly, bed made.
Fayolle its true, I never miss an opportunity to spend time with DS now. In fact I think I see life a bit differently than I used to.
Right, better get my serious face on for this meeting x13 -
Afternoon my lovelies,
Had a very, very, lazy morning in my pj’s watching Midsummer Murders on the t.v. and drinking copious amounts of cups of tea. Felt quite decadent… Oh I did do HHI ironing early this morning…
It’s a beautiful day so the washing has gone on the line – there’s something nice about washing dried outside, don’t you agree?
The lightbulbs, and lightbulb remover thingy, arrived yesterday and was decontaminating happily on the sofa. DH decided to actually get something done when it needed instead of letting it linger… So we now have light in the kitchen and three new bulbs in the light unit.
The dog went on a 3km walk with DH this morning, he’s absolutely shattered now – both dog and DH. So thankfully I won’t have to take the dog out this afternoon..what a relief!!
Have to hoover upstairs this afternoon, the cats have decided to use the packing boxes as their scratching post and now there is bits of cardboard all over the floor. Darling cats!! So I’ll hoover the bedroom, toilet and bathroom at the same time so that kills everything with one stone..
Apart from all the above I think today will be a lazy day and all the packing will start afresh tomorrow especially as I need a whole weeks worth, almost, to catch up on. But I shall be doing what Honey said and putting everything in the boxes without checking – I’ll check at the other end if and when I need them. At least doing it this way everything will get moved pretty quickly downstairs, just the junk room may need a bit more throwing away.
Oh well time to shower and then grab something for a late lunch.
Hugs all, and plenty sticks for the black dog for those that need it.
