Well people want to know it's origin because they will then tell you how you can receive that money in other ways that doesn't involve cash. You will most likely have already thought of these ways already and have a reason why it's not possible. But now that cheques can be paid in electronically without visiting a branch i don't see much reason why you need to accept cash.JustAnotherSaver said:eskbanker said:
What gave you the impression that the money is from OP's employer? While OP was a tad evasive when asked about its source, it didn't sound like pay:nottsphil said:OP why can't your employer pay you by bank transfer/faster payment?JustAnotherSaver said:
It's coming from my wallet and we're not talking about thousands.greyteam1959 said:Where is the cash coming from & how much are we talking about ??
No, just a one off.DCFC79 said:Is the cash going to be regular ?Yep I was evasive for good reason - it doesn't matter about its origin. It's cash in a wallet. If it comes from a friend, a boss, a family member, a gutter or if i pick it from a money tree, it's still cash in my wallet that I want paying in to an account. It's not millions or thousands so it's not really any questionable amount. Will be trying the post office approach at the weekend. Thankfully i'm with enough banks to be able to get it sorted.0 -
Just for the sake of accuracy, not all banks allow cheques to be paid electronically - Natwest doesn't.Tokmon said:

Although there are work arounds, as said earlier in the thread. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Yes that is true and if someone didn't have an account that could do this then i personally would recommend them to open a Starling Account due to the ease of doing it all from a mobile including ID verification.0
