Declaring £66.59/£180 spent so far. This is between Lidl and my local butcher. This is our start of the month stock up shop and I am planning (hoping) that we won't need to shop again for a couple of weeks.10

A quick dash into L!dls in passing has cost us £50.13 today, on enough coffee, butter, orange juice & washing supplies to see us through the month, as well as some smoked mackerel and one or two other bits. I'm running the stocks of tins & packets down a bit now, as the weather improves and OH & I inch closer to our first jabs; although I'm strict about rotating stuff in the store cupboard as new "stock" comes in, I don't want anything going out of date. Hence I'm hoping for higher-than-average NSDs this month; I generally try to shop just two or three times a week, once at the supermarket & town shops, and once or twice at the street market, but this had crept up as my Ebay sales made me trot up to town to the post office almost daily. (All within half a mile!) So it's time to rein that in, and eat up some of the stuff that's here already.Angie - GC Jul 25: £225.85/£500 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)7

This afternoon I stopped into Superdrug to get some toothpaste after running errands. £1.98 spent which was a surprise because the shelf label said £3.99! I’ll count myself lucky for now.Later in the evening I made a lamb meatball soup/stew which gave us three servings for dinner and likely two more for the fridge or freezer. I seasoned and formed the ground lamb into balls a couple days ago with the intent to make soup sometime this week. They were seasoned with EVOO, parsley, fresh garlic, salt, and pepper. In the pot went mirepoix, a can of mixed beans, one red potato, extra garlic, half a chicken stock cube, water, rosemary, parsley, bay leaf, meatballs, the lamb fat from frying the meatballs, some lemon zest and the juice of half a lemon. At the end I added more garlic, parsley, lemon juice, zest and a good sizing of chopped cavolo nero kale. Mr. Jings had two bowls and I, one. Finished up with an orange for my dessert. Simple but filling and left me satisfied.£1.98 spent

We have a SM click and collect shop today. I moved it from Monday to Wednesday to try and see some of the things that are OOS from the weekend but no different. I am guessing they are not British in origin. It's my big store-cupboard stock up, as well as a few fresh things like fish, dairy products (butter, cheese, yogurt) and some fresh fruit and veg
DH will go with a separate list of missing things he will whizz round the store to check for. I reckon I will able to start going myself from April if the reduction in risks locally continues. For the timebeing I do all the planning, lists and ordering, just to stay involvedSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

Hi all, looks like everyone's made a good start to the month. My spends are currently at £42.33/£350 as I've had my affordable groceries collection this week and a small spend at MrT. Will need to get more milk and some other odd bits to cover over the weekend, will grab those tomorrow evening.
Going to sort out the store cupboard over the weekend and work out what meals I can make this month.Grocery Challenge 2024

Thank you @PipneyJane, it's nice to be back.
NSD here but adding or subtracting to my Waitrose C & C order for Sunday here and there. It's currently at £54 but will likely fluctuate. We may go to M & S to get some fruit earlier than that though and adjust accordingly.11 -
Checking in with the first spends of March. Spent £1.99 in the paper shop for some local milk then another £46.20 in A1di on what I hope will pretty much keep us going for a couple of weeks. Need a bit of fruit and some peppercorns but I think that’s it for the next fortnight.£48.19/£200
