How long is it taking currently from full application to offer?
There is a nationwide mortgage thread that I can’t link to but it’s really helpful - lots of timelines

My buyer is with nationwide.  Sale agreed five weeks and valuation only happened Monday.  Very slow.

  • April 14th - Application submitted via NW Advisor - FTB with 20% deposit.
May 6th - Valuation Carried out.

Now waiting.....apparently Post Valuation Query on property ??structural - news to us as we had a full building survey carried out with Countrywide (who also do the valuations for NW) and structure/roof/walls all came back as a 1!

I called NW on Monday and was told it'll take 6 days to make and receive enquiries from Countrywide 🙄

  • So, this is the 4th time we are doing this 3 of the other deals fell through!

Our previous application was satisfactory pending valuation but, property was valued 50k under offer last week.

Luckily we found a property on Saturday and have to redo the full application again.

What has your experience with Nationwide been like so far with timescales?
    Did you have any complications?

Just an update from my initial post.
We finally got our offer today. It only took 10 working days from full application to offer. I'm really impressed with Nationwide.
They didn't do a credit check this time either.

    Here's my timeline:
17th Feb - Dip approved & full application submitted

18th Feb- text from Nationwide confirming valuation/survey booked for 2nd March

24th Feb - mortgage broker emailed me that Nationwide asked for payslip before my maternity started.

    2nd March- Valuation carried out

3rd March - Text with offer from Natiomwide
    Fantastic!

I am going through a similar process.

I wonder, did you get referred to an underwriter or was the check carried out initially all that was required?

I have been referred and had my valuation done. I passed the initial credit checks but am now wondering if they will do a hard one.

We've just applied with nationwide application has been submitted 5 days ago had a text saying valuation has been booked for today, is mortgage offer the next stage?
Hello! Did you get a mortgage offer in the end? I am at the valuation stage - it happened yesterday. Currently am waiting.
  • Just to give you and update, our broker told us that nationwide declined our mortgage because I have been in my overdraft for the last few months, will aim to cut down or clear the overdraft in the next few months and try again, good luck to everyone!
