Nationwide Mortgage 2021

Options
So, this is the 4th time we are doing this 3 of the other deals fell through!

Our previous application was satisfactory pending valuation but, property was valued 50k under offer last week.

Luckily we found a property on Saturday and have to redo the full application again.

What has your experience with Nationwide been like so far with timescales?
Did you have any complications?

  • Our mortgage application with Nationwide took about 7 weeks to come through in total including them having the valuation of the house done.

@hellomoto123 From what I'm seeing and hearing - employed applicants pretty quick, SE applications are all being referred and taking much longer.

3 deals falling through is quite unusual I must say. Hopefully it'll be fourth time lucky!

@hellomoto123 I’m currently going through the process, made application last week Tuesday, had confirmation on Thursday that valuation had been booked for this week.

    This thread is useful

  • I applied in full 10th February. Self employed so automatically referred, no dip however when i log on i can now see a dip - accept which gives me hope. All my documents submitted at application and bank statements etc say reviewed and satisfactory so its just the valuation delaying things more. Was booked for 1st March but managed to call and get a cancellation for next week which is helpful.
Does anyone know the process once valuation done? And do i get to find out the valuation?

@katkin804 my valuation was yesterday, spoke to the valuation company today and they said they send it across to nationwide within 24 hours. I have also noticed a hard search on my credit report with  today’s date. Valuation company also said that you can ask Nationwide for the valuation amount once it’s been sent.
  • Thanks, i will have to see what happens. i'm glad i managed to get a cancellation. I'm tied with time as paying off help to buy and everything 'expires'!
  • Hi,
I am in the same boat did mortgage application
1st feb received a text from them
Received another text that valuation was booked for 11.2.21
And then on 11.2.21 had a text saying they had received the report.

MB got in touch to say they needed a letter to confirm my salary which I provided yesterday and it is in the underwriter queue now.

On the website it says 14 days average to offer and tomorrow will be 14 days.

    fingers crossed

Mortgage offer issued this morning! Took just over 1 week
Apparently, they are now getting through applications much quicker if all correct documentation is supplied.

So far NW has been great and very straightforward, but I also have an amazing MA so that has helped.
  • I had a hard search from Nationwide on my report 2d ago and all documents been accepted so i'm hoping subject to valuation next week all will be ok
  • Hi all. Applied through a mortgage broker 4th Feb, they requested more details 11th, not heard anything yet :( Not heard anything about a valuation or anything???
