Bloom22 said:@Cholden have you tried chasing it up? Even though you have gone through your broker you can still call Nationwide and ask for an update if you have the application number. My broker was good so I didn’t have to but I know you can if you wish.

Has anyone else applied with nationwide recently? We made our application through a broker on 19th February. Bank statements and gifted deposit letter provided on 22nd February but haven’t heard anything since0

Our previous application was satisfactory pending valuation but, property was valued 50k under offer last week.
Luckily we found a property on Saturday and have to redo the full application again.
What has your experience with Nationwide been like so far with timescales?
Did you have any complications?
We finally got our offer today. It only took 10 working days from full application to offer. I'm really impressed with Nationwide.
They didn't do a credit check this time either.
Here's my timeline:
17th Feb - Dip approved & full application submitted
18th Feb- text from Nationwide confirming valuation/survey booked for 2nd March
24th Feb - mortgage broker emailed me that Nationwide asked for payslip before my maternity started.
2nd March- Valuation carried out
3rd March - Text with offer from Natiomwide0 -
I'm having to apply again, due to switching properties. My situation is also a bit different this time in terms of I'm due to start a new job at 0.8 fte at the beginning of May. The job is a slightly higher salary, but I am also asking to borrow more.
I'm employed 0.8 fte and self employed 0.2 fte.
My application went in on Monday 1st March, I got an email from my broker saying 'your application has successfully passed the first part of the lenders underwriting process. This means your mortgage has been agreed in principle based on the information provided and your credit checks, subject to a satisfactory valuation.'
Valuation has been booked for the 10th of March.
Fingers crossed!!0 -

01/03/21- Application submitted, valuation booked for 10th March.
08/03/21- Letter from new employer requested to confirm my start date- sent the next working day
10/03/21- Text to say Valuation completed and report received for review.
18/03/21- A slight change to the letter format is requested- returned same day.
25/03/21- another slight change is requested- returned the same day.
31.03.21- offer received.
I'm very relieved. I wouldn't suggest trying to change jobs at the same time as moving house, despite the fact it was a higher salary and better prospects! The minor amendments were frustrating and I wish they had just been clearer with requirements from the start. It was embarrassing calling my new employers again and again with seemingly petty requests!
So all in all that took 21 working days, and I don't believe a 2nd credit check was completed.
