You are being paid to work, not to have ‘an easy job’ - do what you’re asked to do. If you feel strongly about ‘fairness’ you can raise it higher but if I was you I’d concentrate on finding somewhere else or just get on with things.

Sorry but you need to do something. If other people lose their job due to slacking that's their problem not yours. Try and contact the head of the department or the manager above them. The council won't be happy that people are getting paid to do nafff all. Also its health risk to you if your stressed at work it could lead to ill health.

a more positive way of looking at it is other people won't do the work, it makes being the best of the team a trivial endeavour.

Sometimes opportunities come unexpectedly to such people.

I am doing my job as I outlined in the op.

And like I said in wish to keep busy and paid to work.

However today we will have 3 on the site rather then 2 yesterday excluding the two who were doing nothing but standing there yesterday all day and even when busy standing there, if that was me I would have got told off and they have fag breaks 15 minutes per hour and the rest of the time also stand there by the office one of them all day and others too and when on the site stand there.

I like I feel for one minute I cannot stand around but like I said I just want to keep busy even go beside the tips and clean the rubbish.

It's so hypocritical they tell me off ad not others when they are standing around. It would get to your backside.

The other day he told me to stay by the tips and pace up and down which I was then he told me off saying look far. And I felt for one second for ages I could not stop walking around.

I can keep myself busy but they do not wish me to work independently even if I am doing good work.

Last week when I was cleaning he told me off and said 'do not forget that' which there was rubbish on the railing.

I cannot work independently to because they know I'm working but maybe they just dont want it easy according to their perception of the work I am doing.

Like I said I work and that's what I'm paid to do and i have no problem and I want to keep busy. But as I said in a few paragraphs it's when they start being extra I dont understand and its blatant others stand around all day on the site, by the office, have fag breaks.

You are asking what you should do and people have given suggestions. If you don't do something it will continue to happen

Honestly, you are leaving, don't let it eat away at you.
Going over it again and again everyday will not help.
    You are leaving. Move on.

    Thanks.
I was scared if they said anything between them and had this fear of them while I was working. Obviously the other guys just stand around and take breaks so they are obviously very harsh and I keep myself busy.

    Yes I will leave soon.
  • I have started work through an agency. Because I work 2 different roles I am paid different rates. I sent the breakdown of my hours for each role. I also get paid milage. Two weeks ago they added my milage and one lot of hours as Expenses, so I did not pay tax on this. I rang and told them but nothing was changed. The following week my pay slip showed these hours being added then taken off which calculated a payment of tax. Then this week I received 2 payslips both showing week 46 but £66.20 difference. I rang and sent an email requesting a recalculated payslip fir previous weeks. But all I have received is a text message saying my tax was wrong and I now owe them £66.20 along with their bank details. Do I have to pay this back?

This really strikes a chord with my experience of tips. Probably been 100 times over the years to various - and about 4 out of 5 are staffed with lazy, unhelpful layabouts. Last year someone in my local tip helped me get stuff out of the car and I nearly fell over in shock - I was very grateful to him and the other helpful or at least polite staff on those odd occasions.

Anyway I guess promotion in these places is akin to becoming more unhelpful and looking insulted at the public actually using the tip. Find somewhere you're more appreciated.
