The reason is they have been dishonest in the past to my parent and have caught them for quite a bit of money.
At the moment they have not even told us how much they have sold the house for. I have only found out from another sibling who contacted us as they are concerned that something is dodgy!
The house has just been surveyed and supposedly has quiet alot of structural work etc that needs to be fixed which all beneficiaries will be paying for out of the estate.
They will not show anyone written evidence of survey etc, so how do we know this is true and money not being given back to the buyer?
I emailed today to ask what would the  approximate equal share be the reply I got was
"In short no When we have the sale. completion, we will immediately make an interim payment. There should be more than enough funds to cover the reparations."

If the house has already been sold then any remedial work wouldn’t come out if the estate.
The house would be sold at a price that reflects its condition and any repairs needed, and the buyer would then be responsible for repairs once the house is theirs.
If the estate is paying for repairs then this would be pre-sale and the house should be sold at a price that reflects the value after the repairs have been done.
So has the house sale actually gone through or not?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
