IAMIAM said:Well lets hope this didn't happen to me before exchange, I would have withdrawn offer and allowed them to allow any old tom !!!!!! or Harry to return to view the property until sold. Then they can explain covid restrictions to me via zoom and expect me to put an offer in again, while ensuring its tied into the contract that I can attend for 10 minutes to view before exchange.
So yes, typical Britain!0 -
OH, SO THAT MUST MEAN THEY STILL CANNOT VIEW. EXCHANGE = NO VIEW. NO EXCHANGE = VIEW.0

It was just general questions such as where the stopcock is located and what days the bins go out. On reflection these questions can be asked over email or answered by a neighbour after the move.
I did want to measure up for some furniture, but again I suppose this can wait until I move in.0 -
Your neighbours might not know where the stopcock is, so worth asking the EA to query (I did that with my purchase), but certainly your neighbours can help out with local services such as bin collections etc. Maybe your vendors will leave you a note with useful information - again, we plan to do that for our purchasers and have put together a little pack for them.0
