The call is not live on air, but recorded, so there is a chance some of the call may be edited out or they may be asked to redo something if they've said something inappropriate to air.

To be honest, I don't think I would sound particularly genuine as it takes a while for some things to sink in. Phone me back a couple of hours later and I'll be bouncing off the walls 😂

When ringing the free to enter number I’m getting “sorry the person you are calling is on another call, please try later” - anyone else getting this or is it something wrong with my mobile ?

Maybe double check you have dialled the correct number.

Hi comping rich - yes I have tried every single one of the numbers you just put up - thank you for that - and all of them are saying the same !!  I rang my doctors to check my mobile was working and it does work !!

I had User Busy (on iPhone) on all lines a couple of days ago but after 42 entries and someone pointed out that they had similar, perhaps a trial to keep phone lines clear after maximum entries. If you are getting a busy message but have not entered 42 times then it’s not that.

 Due to a very poor signal where I live, I have Wi-Fi calling activated on my phone, so I think I'm less affected by busy networks.

I have often had calls where the number was Unknown, Withheld or Blocked and 99.9% of the time they are scam calls. The only time they were valid were  calls from the Hospital. There are many MSE members who have won these radio competitions in the past, myself included. My phone indicated 'Number Withheld' when I won. I am pretty sure that some of the MSE entrants will have won more recently and had a life changing win with these huge amounts currently on offer, but will be quite reticent about publicising the fact for various assorted reasons. Apply Occam's Razor to any conspiracy theories, it's just not worth their trouble to get up to those sort of tricks in this kind of competition. The radio stations don't care who wins.
I think what a previous respondent was indicating in a quite concise manner was that if you (generic, anyone) have any doubts about the validity of a competition, why bother entering it, there will be another one round the corner. My philosophy is Enter and Forget and you might be pleasantly surprised sometime in the future with a WEM.
