I have been keeping a tally this round (what a sad old life I lead!)
So far there have been 15 winners getting £973,000 and 20 losers (?) with £1,626,000 of missed opportunity! I haven't kept track of how many of those misses were answered with "hello". Not sure how I would cope if I messed it up - though I know what my wife would do !
Such a long run of non-winner days. Has there been more than nine in past rounds?

Seeing as this is a radio competition, I'm surprised not once when we hear the phone answered do we ever hear a radio in the background.

Do they have clever tech that can edit out any radio sounds in the background?

I don't listen to that radio that much during work; when the person answers with hello, do the presenters converse with them much? Whilst I would assume they would offer them some kind of condolences off air, how much do they speak 'on-air'?

Would be intriguing to hear their reaction to being told.....
