Posting to Europe post Brexit

They have jumped the gun, as from July the import VAT can be paid in any of the EU countries and presumably sent on to the country where the goods are delivered.  Until then this would cause a problem for VAT registered businesses.  Do you think this would also affect individuals?

It seems to me that no one will care for a while for smaller parcels going by post, but I'm an idiot on the internet.
As I said earlier I applied for an EORI a few months ago and haven't received. I'm not sure if that's common or if mine got lost in the system somewhere so I'll chase it up and find out.

My workplace applied in November time and it took around 6 weeks to arrive. So I'd be chasing up if I were you.
