With VM unreliable and Openreach slow, time for a third option I think.Mobile broadband? Do check signal where you are *before* locking into any contract! Unlimited mobile broadband is more expensive than the best fixed-line plans, but could well be similar or cheaper than Virgin Media.Satellite? Current systems suffer from slow ping even though bandwidth is OK. Not cheap. In the next few years systems using low orbit satellites will become available (SpaceX have launched a thousand Starlink satellites in the last two years!) but they're not mass market yet.Local wireless ISP? If there are any in your area.0

If your using the router supplied by VM then consider buying your own router and put the 1 from VM into modem mode.0
