Take it to a detailer. They should be able to safely remove it with either clay bar or a polishing compound. I wouldn’t touch the paintwork myself if you don’t know what you’re doing as you might scratch the existing paintwork.
The glass is pretty tough though so you could have a go at that yourself. Maybe a wide scraper and gently try and scrape the paint off or nail varnish remover.1 -
needs to go to bodyshop. the door will need to be painted. and who ever does the job will have something to remove whats on the glass.1

There isn't a DIY solution to this unless you really know what you're doing. Best off getting into a bodyshop.1

thanks for the replies, everyone. wishful thinking to hope we could have handled this without too much cost or hassle I guess.
thanks again.0 -
If you want to risk it, a scratch removing polish will likely get it off the paintwork, followed by a good paint protecting polymer sealant. Polish with a cloth by hand, don't use a buffing machine as they can go through the paint to the primer. The glass is easy, nail varnish remover (don't get it on the paint though)Don't use any graffiti remover sprays, as they work by softening the paint, and they won't know which is the paint you want to keep.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

Have you reported this to the Police?
It is a very long shot but it is possible that someone will identify what might be a known tag on the door or window. The offender might possibly have been pulled for similar incidents.
Do report it anyway as otherwise the police are less aware of how much vandalism goes on.A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".1 -
I hope the ba---rds who did it fry in hell .They will be someone,s precious little snowflakes who did not mean it.2

And yes, reported to the police, went around all the houses on the road hoping for some cctv but drew a blank...it's a side road that requires residents to have permits to park there, we have been parking there for years with no trouble, and now this.
agree tho, I'm definitely hoping they fry in hell...
due to the pandemic my other half's industry isn't hiring and he hasn't worked in a year, nor are we entitled to any govt help...so on top of all that to have this happen has been...frustrating.
