Car loosing petrol quick

I spoke to the garage again. When i told him my car he thought it was a diesel hense why he offered it to me for 90 pounds. Ive told him it is petrol and he said it would need spark plugs etc. So he said he's happy to do it for £110. Im up north.
Just a quick question when they do a service and they tell me certain things need replacing. Apart from oils and plugs etc .. is it up to me to change it? I cant afford a huge bill at the moment. But he did say the oils and spark plugs etc are covered.
Hope the changes help the car to be more economical on fuel.

5 ltr oil £20, filter £5. Less than 30 mins to change both.....
The cost of their oil & filter change over 3 years is the same as I payed for my 3 year service deal....

The figure of £86 is for Kwik Fits oil & filter change. Nothing else.
The cost of that over 3 years is the same as I have just payed for my manufacture 3 year service pack (full services)Life in the slow lane0 -

What about fuel filter, air filter, brake fluid, giving everything else a good check-over?

So do you reckon hes lying its a big local garage. Very busy all the time. Im doing MOT with him too next week for 35.0 -
At the end of the day, if you can only afford the basics and to get the car through an MOT, then that's all you can afford.
But the car would then probably still run rough, rich and inefficiently and possibly break down.
