Dial-up was a specific connection type - you had to physically dial a number to make a data connection (e.g. at 56kbps) which would tie up your line. (That's the point I was trying to make). ADSL (or ADSLMax) followed this which allowed for an always-on, up to 8mbps connection. ADSL2 (or rather ADSL2+) followed after which allowed for higher data rates. Based on the speeds posted then ADSL2+ is likely what @derrick currently has.Jenni x1
